Easy-to-Sing K-pop That Gets the Crowd Going at Karaoke [All Songs Japanese Versions] (1–10)
MY TREASURETREASURE

TREASURE is a 10-member boy group from YG.
While K-pop idols often lean heavily toward R&B and hip-hop, they incorporate those elements yet tend more toward electropop.
Their hit number “MY TREASURE” exemplifies this.
Positioned between hip-hop and R&B, it features a somewhat ennui-tinged vocal line.
In practice, there aren’t many parts that require extensive use of mixed voice; as long as you can sing up to the mid-to-high range, the vocal line is sufficiently achievable.
LOVE SCENARIOiKON

iKON is a boy group that showcases a wide musical range, from poignant heartbreak songs to tracks aimed at appealing to teens.
Their music is characterized by melodies rooted in hip-hop, and that distinctive style is clearly reflected in “LOVE SCENARIO.” Although this song features falsetto, the pitch movement within each phrase is relatively gentle, so it isn’t particularly difficult to sing.
If you adjust the key to make the falsetto easier, most men in their teens and twenties should be able to sing it without trouble.
It’s a crowd-pleaser with women, making it a great choice for livening up a group date.
Boy With LuvBTS

BTS is a boy group popular not only in South Korea but also in Japan and the United States.
It’s no exaggeration to say they helped create the current K-POP boom.
Among their works, the one I especially recommend as easy to sing and sure to get the crowd going is “Boy With Luv.” While it features prominent high notes characteristic of BTS songs, the vocal range falls into the relatively narrow mid1E to hiB, making it much easier to sing than it sounds.
If you slightly reduce your volume, it becomes easier to produce a mixed voice in the build-up sections, so keep that in mind while you sing.
DolphinOH MY GIRL

OH MY GIRL is a six-member idol group formed in 2015.
Their music is rooted in orthodox K-pop, and they’ve gained popularity for their quintessential idol appeal.
Among their songs, the one I especially recommend is Dolphin.
It has a slightly tropical house vibe, featuring a smooth, level vocal line without dramatic peaks.
The mixed-voice section right before the chorus can be a tricky spot, but since it doesn’t require belting, anyone should be able to sing it if they adjust to a suitable key.
Future PerfectENHYPEN

ENHYPEN is a group with enduring popularity thanks to their music that emphasizes storytelling and worldbuilding.
The group’s name is pronounced “En-hai-pun.” Their track “Future Perfect” is renowned as one of their signature songs and was released in 2022.
It highlights hip-hop elements, particularly drawing from drill music, so the low end stands out; however, there are surprisingly few low parts, and the overall arrangement leans toward higher registers.
The vocal range isn’t particularly wide, so with key adjustments it should be singable without issue.
You can sing the hook in a mixed voice as in the original, but delivering the vocals more roughly with some shouts is also recommended.
LATATA(G)I-DLE

(G)I-DLE is a girl group known for its strong self-produced style.
It’s pronounced “jee idol.” Their track LATATA, released in 2018, features a somewhat Latin-influenced rhythm.
The pitch movement in the hook is relatively gentle, and most of the low-register sections are rap parts, so the range may feel narrower than the actual vocal range.
If you want a song that combines coolness with an infectious groove to hype up a karaoke session, be sure to add this one to your repertoire.
Pretty SavageBLACKPINK

BLACKPINK is a girl group that could be called the flagship of YG.
While retaining an idol-like appeal, they place importance on a gritty image, and their stylish musicality is highly regarded not only in Korea but also in Japan and the English-speaking world.
Their 2020 release, Pretty Savage, embodies this approach.
The track has a strong hip-hop character, with the vocal lines unfolding as an extension of rap flow throughout.
As a result, the range is narrow and there are no complex melodic leaps, so once you’re comfortable with rapping, it’s relatively easy to sing.
