It was co-written with lead guitarist Len Tuckey, who later became her husband.
Theme From ShaftIsaac Hayes

A song used in the 1971 film of the same name starring Richard Roundtree.
The instruments are performed by the Bar-Kays, a Memphis funk group.
The track won both a Grammy and an Academy Award.
It’s also known for Isaac Hayes’s performance of it at the ceremony when he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2002.

A song inspired by the jingle used in the commercial for the vegetable brand “Green Giant.” There’s a story that Libby Foods, the owner of Green Giant, sent a gift box of vegetables to a concert by The Kingsmen, but it was left behind, leading Libby Foods to sue The Kingsmen for defamation.

The title of this song, “An Cat Dubh,” means “The Black Cat” in Gaelic.
It’s a song inspired by U2’s frontman Bono’s relationship with his girlfriend, Ali.
He married Ali in 1982.

This is a song included on Battle for the Sun, an album released in 2009 by the British alternative rock band Placebo.
It was the first album to feature Steve Forrest as the drummer after Steve Hewitt left the band in 2007.

Kitty JaySeth Lakeman

Singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Seth Lakeman was born on Dartmoor in England.
This song, which depicts a slave girl, is the title track from his album released in 2004.
