A song with an anti-suicide message released in 1993.

In 1995, The Samaritans, a support listening service in the UK, ran a press advertising campaign using the song’s lyrics to address the low usage of their hotline among young men, a group with high suicide rates.

You Belong With MeTaylor Swift

It’s a song that portrays a very cool, confident woman, with the lyric “Your place is with me.” Released in 2009, it’s a country-pop track.

The music video, filmed at a high school in Tennessee, won an MTV Video Music Award.

It has over 500 million views on YouTube, and in the video the artist plays two roles herself, which became a big talking point for how adorable it is.

Its upbeat melody is easy to get into, so I highly recommend it.

Back To BlackAmy Winehouse

The artist Amy Winehouse, who sadly passed away in 2011, was known as one of the United Kingdom’s leading soul singers.

Although she was involved in various scandals and controversies, her musical work was highly acclaimed.

Her famous song “Back to Black,” released in 2006, gained popularity with its blues-style melody.

The lyrics vividly portray a woman’s lingering feelings after breaking up with her lover.

Call on MeBebe Rexha

The song with striking self-empowering lyrics is Bebe Rexha’s “Call On Me.” It was released as a single in March 2023 and is also included on the album “Bebe,” which came out the following month.

It’s crafted as a dance track whose solid four-on-the-floor kick drum delivers a rush of exhilaration.

The lyrics, about longing for someone to call on her and spending what feels like an eternity known only to God, convey strong resolve.

If you feel like your spirit is about to break, try listening to “Call On Me” to get back on your feet!

David Kushner, an American singer-songwriter known for his emotionally charged music, is drawing attention once again.

His new song released in July 2024 delves deeply into themes of love and loss.

Marked by ethereal guitars and haunting synthesizers, the track is elevated by Kushner’s fragile, aching vocals.

This release is his first since his 2022 debut EP, “Footprints I Found,” which includes his signature song “Miserable Man.” The music video—depicting beauty in the aftermath of disaster—has also become a talking point.

It’s a recommended listen for those who resonate with self-sacrificial love or who enjoy introspective music.
