A compilation of Western songs whose titles start with “hey”

Many of you probably listen to Western music regularly and often find yourselves thinking, “This word seems to show up in song titles a lot…” The same goes for Japanese music, of course, but it’s interesting to see the kinds of words artists tend to favor.

In this article, we researched and compiled songs—across all genres—whose titles start with the universally familiar word “hey.” Even without digging too deep, several big hits immediately come to mind, and just skimming the songs introduced here should make it clear that many tracks beginning with “hey” in the title have been major successes.

You might even discover a “hey” song you didn’t know.

Enjoy!

Steely Dan – Hey Nineteen – HQ Audio — LYRICS
Hey NineteenSteely Dan

Steely Dan is a rock band from New York State.

Originally a duo consisting of Donald Fagen and Walter Becker, the band has continued as Fagen’s solo project since Becker’s death in 2017.

Among their works, the one I especially recommend is Hey Nineteen.

This track is soft rock with an extremely groovy sound, featuring many phrases reminiscent of Black music.

In conclusion

I put together a list of Western songs with titles that start with “hey.” Leading with “hey” gives the title a strong impact, and in most cases it seems to be sung as-is in the chorus too.

Was your favorite song that starts with “hey” included? I’m creating articles with this kind of theme using other words as well, so be sure to check those out!
