Jamiroquai is an acid jazz band from the UK fronted by vocalist Jay Kay.
With a high degree of freedom in arrangements across acid jazz, jazz-funk, pop music, and rock, they are also among the musicians who fused jazz-funk with disco, delivering a powerful impact on the UK club scene.
Tracks like Space Cowboy, Virtual Insanity, Cosmic Girl, Picture of My Life, and Feel So Good feature futuristic vibes and groovy sounds that remain popular across eras.
Smooth Criminal2CELLOS

2Cellos is a cello duo from Croatia that became famous in 2011 after uploading their cover of Michael Jackson’s “Smooth Criminal” to YouTube.
They are known for performing crossover music—mixing rock, pop, and classical—on the cello.
Their covers of songs such as “Smooth Criminal,” “Welcome to the Jungle,” and “Wake Me Up” are particularly well known.

Santana is an American Latin rock band best known for guitarist and vocalist Carlos Santana as its central figure.
They formed the Santana Blues Band in San Francisco in 1966, later changing the name to Santana.
The band helped popularize crossover styles such as Latin rock, blues rock, and fusion.
They debuted on Columbia Records in 1969, gained major attention at the Woodstock Festival, and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1998.
Their signature song “Smooth” spent 12 consecutive weeks at number one.
CrossbreedKyoto Jazz Massive

Kyoto Jazz Massive is a brother DJ unit formed by Shuya and Yoshihiro Okino.
They came together in the early 1990s, released a compilation in 1994, and put out their first album worldwide in 2002.
Having been involved in the UK club scene since the late 1980s, they are known for expanding the genres of acid jazz and jazz crossover.
They did so by mixing house with bossa nova and samba, blending hip-hop and jazz into club music, and collaborating with a variety of international artists and DJs.
Still A Friend Of MineIncognito

Incognito is the first acid jazz band from London, formed in 1981.
They have been a central presence in the early-1990s acid jazz movement, creating crossover music that blends jazz-funk and classic soul.
The band’s name, Incognito, comes from the meaning “anonymous (person).”
Some Skunk FunkThe Breaker Brothers

The Brecker Brothers are a crossover jazz fusion band formed by the brothers Randy and Michael Brecker from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, who debuted in 1975.
They have also worked as session musicians and have won Grammy Awards.
Their signature song is Some Skunk Funk, which continues to be performed live even after the band’s breakup.

PegSteely Dan

Steely Dan is a band from New York, USA, and a duo consisting of Donald Fagen and Walter Becker.
Based on rock and pop with added jazz elements, they crafted sophisticated ensembles, also placing emphasis on the feel of 1950s jazz and R&B.
Their sound crosses over into rock, blue-eyed soul, Latin music, R&B, jazz, and AOR.
Their 1977 album Aja was a major hit.
Songs like “Rikki Don’t Lose That Number,” “Peg,” and “Hey Nineteen” are especially popular.
