Karaoke songs that are easy to sing for women, even for those who are tone-deaf

Many of today’s songs feature delicate vocals, and some require you to keep singing softly while sustaining high notes.

For women who aren’t confident in their singing, those kinds of songs can feel intimidating.

This time, we’ve selected karaoke-friendly tracks for people who feel that way.

Rather than simply listing easy songs, a vocal coach also explains how to sing them, so be sure to use those tips as a reference.

Karaoke songs recommended for women that are easy to sing even for those who are tone-deaf (141–150)

Beat de TouhiHamaiku

Hamaiku – Escape with the Beat [MV]
Going to Hamai to escape with the beat

Hamaiku is a musical duo consisting of comedian Ryuichi Hamaie and former Nogizaka46 member Erika Ikuta.

The unit was formed on NHK’s music program Venue101.

Speaking of their signature song, it would be “Beat de Touhi.” Since neither of the two is primarily a singer, the vocal line of this track is very simple.

There are no harmonies; they just sing the same line as male and female, so it can be considered an easy duet as well.

Reira Shio is a female singer-songwriter known for melodies influenced by Western music.

Among her works, which have seen remarkable success since 2022, the song I particularly recommend to teenage girls for its singability is “Earring.” This piece features a gentle, country-pop-like melody, and the vocal line is easy to sing with gradual pitch movements.

The range isn’t especially wide; it’s centered around the mid-register, making it comfortable to sing for teenage girls.

Singer-songwriter Yukichi Kousaku/men, who has won popularity with a uniquely original musical style.

Characterized by a distinctive techno sound infused with ambient elements, she consistently releases striking tracks with a musicality unlike anything else.

Among her songs, the one I especially recommend is Hanjukukou.

Throughout the piece, the vocal range is narrow and there are no long sustained notes.

What’s more, in the chorus the track takes precedence over the vocal line, making it easy to sing—you can even catch your breath during the hook.

Is this love? NMB48

NMB48 is an idol group that has enjoyed popularity for many years.

Unlike the Sakamichi groups, they tend to have more powerful songs.

Among NMB48’s tracks, the one I especially recommend for women who aren’t confident singers is “Kore ga Ai na no ka?” This song has a somewhat gritty vibe, and the melody matches that tone—simple and strong.

Even though it’s powerful, there aren’t any shouts or anything like that, so even women who are tone-deaf should be able to sing it without trouble.

Definitely give it a listen.

This song was originally a choral piece, and I imagine many of you sang it in elementary school.

It might even be a song filled with memories for you.

Back then, you probably sang it without thinking about it too much.

Try not to overthink it now either—just enjoy singing it in whatever way feels good to you.

The Ten CommandmentsAdo

[Ado] The Ten Commandments (1984) (Lyric Video)
The Ten Commandments Ado

When you think of Ado, her shouts in the mid-to-high range and the expressive high notes probably come to mind, right? While those aspects are certainly part of her appeal, her lower register actually holds a great deal of charm as well.

In her cover of Akina Nakamori’s classic “Jukkai (The Ten Commandments),” you can fully savor Ado’s rich low tones.

Since it’s an older song, the vocal line is very straightforward.

That simplicity leaves little room for the kinds of tricks you find in modern pop, but it also makes it easy to follow the pitch—so consider adding it to your repertoire.

“Yowanehaki (feat.

Wanuka & asmi),” which blew up on TikTok and is instantly recognizable for its unforgettable hook, delicately portrays the inner feelings of young people today.

Wanuka is a resident of MAISONdes—a space where various creators gather—and is also active as a singer-songwriter.

With its steady rhythm, once you memorize the lyrics it’s easy to keep the tempo, making it a friendly song even for those who aren’t confident singers.

By affirming the side of yourself that wants to complain or gets timid, the song gives you the courage to take even a small step forward.

Even if you struggle with pitch, keeping a steady rhythm makes it easier to sing! The rhythmic chorus features addictive bell and drum sounds that make you want to listen over and over—after just one listen, you might find yourself humming the pre-chorus phrase too.
