Heralding springNEW!yama

This song, Haru wo Tsugeru, is what suddenly brought yama into the spotlight.
Some of you might recognize the opening phrase.
That said, when you actually try singing it, it’s famous for being difficult because of the drastic ups and downs in pitch.
The rhythm is crucial and the tempo is on the faster side, so it’s best to learn it slowly, piece by piece, at first.
YouTube lets you change the playback speed, so I highly recommend using that! When you sing, try not to push on the high notes; if you stay relaxed, you’ll be able to make good use of your falsetto.
It might help to practice singing lightly, with a bouncy feel.
As you get a feel for the melody line, you’ll naturally figure out where to add accents and where to cut the sound.
Once you’re comfortable, try using a bit more breath; that should help you switch smoothly between chest voice and falsetto.
Fu re te Fu re ruNEW!TK from Ling tosite sigure
The B-side to “unravel,” which could be called TK’s signature song, is actually “Fu re te Fu re ru.” It explodes even more with high notes and falsetto than “unravel,” and it’s one of my absolute favorites to sing at karaoke.
Rather than a clean falsetto, TK’s falsetto pierces like a cry, so unless you can normally hit high notes, it’s a tough song to pull off… That said, it’s a super cool track, so if you think of it as a way to practice falsetto, I definitely recommend it for rock lovers! It’s fine to start with a weak falsetto.
Just keep practicing using a lot of breath over and over, and gradually build your explosiveness—that’s the idea!
TAIDADAI wish it could stay midnight forever.

The band Zutto Mayonaka de Iinoni, with their catchy musical style, enjoys overwhelming support from young people.
Their songs also go over well at karaoke, so many women probably have some of their tracks in their repertoire.
Among their songs, the one I especially recommend is TAIDADA.
In the latter part of the chorus, there’s a section where you repeatedly switch between mixed voice and chest voice.
Repeating mixed voice and chest voice is far more challenging than switching between falsetto and chest voice, so women who are confident in their pitch control and vocal strength should definitely give it a try.
Episode XAdo

Ado’s new song “Episode X.” When it comes to Ado’s vocals, her wide range of expression—from raw, emotion-driven singing to delicate delivery—always stands out.
This track truly brings together Ado’s diverse vocal expressions.
The A section has a somewhat calm feel, but the chorus is extremely intense, filled with shouts.
With techniques like shouts, ad-libs, and whisper voice all packed in, women confident in their vocal skills should definitely give it a try.
BibbidebaHoshimachi Suisei

Popular VTuber Suisei Hoshimachi.
In addition to her livestreams and YouTube activities, she’s also a highly successful vocalist.
Among her songs, the one I especially recommend is “VIVID BAD SQUAD” (Bibideba).
It’s currently one of her biggest hits.
While the track is catchy, it’s also quite challenging.
The sudden pitch jumps in the chorus make it hard to sing steadily, even for those confident in their vocal skills.
Be sure to check it out.
hyururira-pappatuki.

Singer-songwriter tuki.
, who gained nationwide popularity with “Bansanka,” continues to release hit tracks one after another.
Among them, my top recommendation is “Hyururira Pappa.” This song is built around a Japanese-style melody and is characterized by its fast tempo.
A fast song alone might be manageable to sing, but this track repeatedly switches between falsetto and chest voice, one section after another.
In terms of pitch control, it’s an extremely challenging piece—so give it a try!
UNDEADYOASOBI

YOASOBI is a music duo that enjoys overwhelming support from young people.
If you’re a woman, chances are you have at least one YOASOBI song in your karaoke repertoire, right? Among their many popular tracks, the one I especially recommend is UNDEAD.
It features YOASOBI’s signature fast-paced development and a vocal line that interweaves chest voice and falsetto.
Techniques like vibrato or shouts aren’t particularly necessary, but the pitch control is extremely challenging—so definitely give it a try.
