DIGNITYAdo

This is Ado’s 19th digital-only single, released in September 2023.
It was chosen as the theme song for the film The Silent Service, which premiered in September 2023.
By the way, the songwriting was handled by B’z members Inaba and Matsumoto.
If you want to recreate this song in karaoke, the most important point is how well you can reproduce Ado’s own dynamic vocal style.
Even in the quieter sections, keep your voice steady and confident; and in the high notes like the chorus, be careful not to tighten your throat and produce a thin, constricted tone.
SaviorTsukuyomi

This is the 13th digital single from Tsukuyomi, the music project by Vocaloid producer YurryCanon, released in July 2023.
Amid a fiercely intricate, up-and-down vocal melody, vocalist Yue delivers a wonderfully dramatic performance, expertly switching among a wide array of high tones.
If you can nail this song coolly at karaoke, you’ll definitely draw everyone’s attention! That said, it’s a pretty difficult piece to sing, so please be careful not to strain your voice.
HeroYOASOBI

It’s the 20th digital single by the music duo YOASOBI, released in September 2023.
The song is used as the opening theme for the TV anime Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End.
It’s an up-tempo track built on a vocal melody that moves intensely and intricately up and down, and I feel it requires quite a high level of vocal ability and expressive control to sing well.
A precise sense of rhythm is also very important.
In addition to smooth and appropriate register transitions, the way you cut off notes and sustain them in each phrase is crucial.
I recommend writing out the lyrics, carefully marking where to cut notes and so on, and studying in advance before singing.

RISENEMOPHILA

NEMOPHILA is a young heavy metal girls’ band formed in 2019.
While many girls’ bands put a strong emphasis on idol elements, they’ve steadily gained support with authentic heavy metal.
Among their songs, the one I especially recommend is RISE.
This track combines hard rock with rap metal, featuring a highly challenging vocal line and a rap section that uses death growls.
It’s quite a difficult piece for women to perform, so be sure to check it out.
MAyumi Hamasaki

This is Ayumi Hamasaki’s 20th single, released in December 2000.
It was used as the CM song for Tu-Ka Cellular Tokyo/Tokai and as the theme song for the Saturday Night Drama “M: Ai Subeki Hito ga Ite,” co-produced by TV Asahi and Ameba TV.
It’s a very dramatic, medium-tempo track that fully showcases Ayumi Hamasaki’s slightly husky vocal charm.
When singing this at karaoke, the key is to apply clear dynamics to each section and phrase of the song.
If you can reproduce the dynamic contrasts throughout the track as she does, you’re sure to earn admiration from those around you! Of course, pay attention to the high notes in the chorus, but also be careful with the low-register parts like the A melody—make sure your voice doesn’t become mumbled or indistinct.
Crimson Lotus FlowerLiSA

It’s LiSA’s 15th single, released in July 2019.
It serves as the opening theme for the TV anime Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba.
With its up-tempo, driving feel and a chorus built around high notes, it’s a song that, in a sense, clearly showcases the “difficulty of singing.” For that reason, it’s also one of the best choices if you want to draw attention at karaoke.
As you sing, be sure to pay close attention to shaping vocal dynamics throughout the song, using falsetto effectively, and switching smoothly between registers.
AshesSuperfly

This is Superfly’s ninth digital download single, released in November 2023.
It was written as the theme song for the TBS television drama “Gekokujō Kyūji,” which began airing on October 15, 2023.
Shiho Ochi, the vocalist renowned for her powerful and rich voice, shines here as well—her appeal is fully on display in this track! If you sing it with the same power as she does, you’re sure to become the center of attention.
Be sure to create clear contrasts in dynamics between the different parts and phrases of the song.
It’s also very important to produce the falsetto in the chorus cleanly!
