[Karaoke] Easy-to-sing Fujii Kaze songs (11–20)
festivalFujii Kaze

While Kaze Fujii has many stylish tracks, he also has some groovy, danceable songs.
A prime example is Matsuri, which became hugely popular on social media.
Centered around traditional Japanese notes yet occasionally incorporating blue notes and non-diatonic chords for a jazzy twist, this piece might seem hard to sing at first glance.
However, because no single note contains more than one vowel sound, it’s actually relatively easy to sing.
Workin’ HardFujii Kaze

Fujii Kaze delivers an introspective message in his song “Workin’ Hard.” Released on August 25, 2023, the track was produced as the theme song for the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023.
The repeated core vocal phrase serves as a statement of empathy and support for those who are striving.
The falsetto high notes and the mix of Japanese and English lyrics make it a challenge at karaoke.
If you focus on singing with emotion, you’ll be able to enjoy this stylish song even more!
Burn!Fujii Kaze

Fujii Kaze’s masterpiece “Moeyo” is striking for its gentle melody.
The usual R&B and neo-soul elements characteristic of Fujii Kaze are kept to a minimum in this song.
Since those genres often feature melodies that can be challenging for Japanese singers, in that sense this track is very easy to sing.
In fact, the vocal line itself is simple enough to be called easy.
However, the song contains many key changes, so if you’re not used to singing it, you may end up off-pitch.
Be sure to stay mindful of the melody after each modulation as you sing.
Yikes.Fujii Kaze

Because slow songs like ballads make the vocal line stand out, people who aren’t confident in their singing might be inclined to avoid them.
Still, if you want to try singing a slow song, I highly recommend Fujii Kaze’s masterpiece “Yaba.” Although it has a slow tempo, it features relatively few vowels compared to the number of notes, making it easy to add your own stylistic touches.
Sing it repeatedly and shape it into a vocal performance full of originality!
Lonely RhapsodyFujii Kaze

A unique piece that starts with a DAW metronome, “Lonely Rhapsody.” It’s a masterpiece with a refreshing track reminiscent of 1980s city pop, highlighted by soulful accents that occasionally use blue notes.
Since there aren’t sections where you need to belt, I think it’s relatively easy to sing.
However, the falsetto that appears near the end of the chorus might be challenging for many.
If you can record at home, you might be able to compensate by boosting the high frequencies with an equalizer and applying a gentle touch of Auto-Tune.
It’s nothing at all.Fujii Kaze

Fujii Kaze’s masterpiece “Hedemo Neeyo” is distinguished by its fantastical melody.
Like “Shinunoga E-Wa,” it carries a dark, heavy atmosphere.
Because the track is so powerful, some people might think it’s hard to sing, but in reality, it sits mostly in the low-to-mid range, making it an accessible song for many singers.
In the final section, there are frequent instances of “feints” (improvised vocal runs), which are an advanced vocal technique.
For that part, it’s better to try singing the chorus rather than the feints.

pure whiteFujii Kaze

Fujii Kaze’s new song “Masshiro.” Fujii Kaze is known for chic, R&B-centered sounds, but this work comes together with a different vibe than usual.
It features a strong acoustic character, and the vocal lines are arranged to be calm and even, akin to dream pop.
As a result, the range is low, and there’s no appearance of complex melodic rises and falls such as vocal runs.
For a Fujii Kaze track, it wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say this is among the easiest to sing.
