Teenage in GlassHikaru Genji

“Glass no Jūdai” (Teenage of Glass) is the second single by Hikaru GENJI, a seven-member group that debuted in 1987 and disbanded in 1995.
The songwriter and composer is Ryo Asuka (ASKA of CHAGE and ASKA).
Incidentally, the B-side track “Graduation” features lyrics by Ryo Asuka and composition by CHAGE, also of CHAGE and ASKA.
There are multiple versions of the song, including one that ends with the sound of glass breaking and another featuring call-and-response parts sung among the members.
D.D.Snow Man

Snow Man is a Johnny’s idol group that began activities in 2012.
Centered around stage performances, the group is known for their honed, outstanding dance and vocals, offering high-level performances to enjoy.
Their song “D.
D.” is also an up-tempo dance tune that brims with their appeal.
Pipe dreamTackey & Tsubasa

Takki & Tsubasa was a duo formed by Hideaki Takizawa and Tsubasa Imai that disbanded in 2018.
This is their second single, “Yume Monogatari.” Many fans imitated the arm-based choreography in the chorus.
Even while the two sang, it was common to see the audience copying their moves in sync with the choreography and vocals.
In the A-melody, there were also call-and-response chants where fans called out the two members’ names.
MasqueradeShonentai

Shonentai, the group formed by Kazukiyo Nishikiori, Katsuhide Uekusa, and Noriyuki Higashiyama that debuted in 1985, released their debut single “Kamen Butōkai” (Masquerade Ball)! They still perform the dance today with the same sharpness they had back then.
Apparently, the on-screen text at the beginning of the song wasn’t there at first, but it was added based on member Nishikiori’s idea.
The song won numerous newcomer awards, including Best New Artist at the 28th Japan Record Awards and the ’86 FNS Music Festival.
The One and Only Flower in the WorldSMAP

Sekai ni Hitotsu Dake no Hana, SMAP’s biggest hit of the Heisei era, was written and composed by Noriyuki Makihara, who later recorded his own self-cover.
It was used as the theme song for the drama Boku no Ikiru Michi, starring group member Tsuyoshi Kusanagi.
Although the song was released in 2003, when reports of SMAP’s breakup emerged in 2016, a purchasing campaign for the single—nicknamed “hanatsumi” (flower picking)—was launched, pushing total sales past 3 million copies.
The choreography for the chorus was created by KABA-chan, and many people joined in performing the moves.
Cinderella GirlKing&Prince

Cinderella Girl, the debut single of King & Prince who debuted in 2018.
It was used as the theme song for the drama Hana Nochi Hare: Hanadan Next Season, starring Hana Sugisaki and featuring group member Sho Hirano.
This drama is a sequel to Boys Over Flowers, which starred Jun Matsumoto from the Johnny’s group Arashi.
It’s a song perfectly suited to the group name King & Prince, likening a precious girlfriend to Cinderella.
Lovin’ youKing&Prince

King & Prince’s celebrated song, which portrays love that stretches on forever, premiered in April 2022 as the theme for KOSÉ Cosmeport’s Je l’aime iP commercial.
Beginning with a fateful encounter, the protagonist’s feelings—growing as they embrace their partner’s tears and scars—soak into the heart alongside a refreshing melody.
The song sparked major acclaim, topping the Oricon Weekly Singles Chart and earning Double Platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of Japan.
It’s a love song you’ll want to listen to with someone special—and it’s a great pick for karaoke, too.
