idolYOASOBI

This is YOASOBI’s 19th digital single, released in April 2023.
It serves as the opening theme for the TV anime “Oshi no Ko.” Ayase, YOASOBI’s composer, is also active as a Vocaloid producer, and that so-called “Vocaloid-style” melodic development and vocal processing are on full display in this YOASOBI track as well.
Reproducing the recording exactly with a human voice is quite challenging—if not practically impossible.
When singing it at karaoke, first make sure you thoroughly memorize the intricately complex melody, then just have fun by leaning into an imitation-style performance!

MoonlightHoshimachi Suisei

Suisei Hoshimachi, the VTuber who’s riding the biggest wave right now.
She gained nationwide recognition with “Bibideba” and has been churning out hit songs ever since.
Among her tracks, the one I especially recommend is “Moonlight.” In stark contrast to “Bibideba,” this piece has a moodier tone, featuring falsetto throughout.
On top of that, with its R&B flavor, it also incorporates techniques that verge on vocal ad-libs.
Become a flowerGreen Yellow Society

This is the eighth CD single by the Japanese pop-rock band Ryokuoushoku Shakai, released in December 2023.
The song was written as the opening theme for the Nippon TV anime “The Apothecary Diaries,” and its theme is said to be ‘a flower blooming in the shade.
’ Haruko Nagaya, the vocalist of Ryokuoushoku Shakai, is a singer known for her bright, powerful, and resonant high-tone voice, and her vocal appeal shines through fully even in this fast-paced, thrilling track.
If you can master this song beautifully, you’ll surely become the center of attention around you! The key to singing it well is how crisply you can keep the rhythm and how expansively and powerfully you can deliver those high tones.
If you’re confident in your singing, definitely give it a try.
When you sing, be careful not to get thrown off where the rhythm shifts slightly at the end of the chorus.
early summerAdo

Ado’s new song “Early Summer.” Ado can effortlessly sing any style of music, but isn’t a powerful melody the kind of track that brings out her charm the most? This piece pairs her strong vocals with a structure that repeatedly features delicate falsetto.
There are also sections reminiscent of gothic rock, which demand sudden pitch control.
Because it calls for comprehensive vocal ability, definitely give it a try.
Delusion:AllONE OK ROCK

ONE OK ROCK is a rock band that has garnered attention not only in Japan but around the world.
Their authentic sound, on par with Western music, conveys its complexity just by listening.
Among their songs, the one I especially recommend is Delusion:All.
This track features a striking hard rock sound and includes multiple high-pitched parts characteristic of ONE OK ROCK.
Singing powerfully while hitting those high notes is challenging, so give it a try.
Naked Eyes (feat. Kohjiya)Bonbero

Bonbero is a rapper known for possessing an exceptionally high-level skill set that undoubtedly ranks among the top five in Japan.
His new track is “Naked Eyes (feat.
Kohjiya).” It’s a pure rap song, so you might think, “If it’s rap, I can probably sing it,” but that’s not the case.
Incredibly complex flows explode throughout the verses, demanding a strong sense of rhythm to pull off.
If you’re confident in your rapping, definitely give it a try.
rock starAdo

Ado, who rose to prominence in her teens as a masked singer who never shows her bare face, has been taking the scene by storm with unstoppable momentum since her major-label debut in 2020.
Her unforgettable voice is supported by overwhelming power and a wide expressive range; both her forceful shouts and her falsetto carry a distinctive allure.
In April 2025, she released a track that clearly reflects the influence of Ringo Sheena, whom she has said she respects.
Featured on her first best-of album, “Ado no Best Album,” the song “Rockstar” fully showcases Ado’s aggressive side, built around a hard rock sound befitting its straightforward title.
While the song’s structure is relatively simple hard rock and the melody line isn’t overly complex, delivering it from Ado’s growling lows to her lustrous, powerful falsetto seems extremely challenging.
If you don’t keep your vocal folds firmly closed and master diaphragmatic breathing before attempting the shouts, you’ll quickly strain your throat—so be careful on that front.
