Clock StrikesToru、Ryota

Toru, the guitarist, and Ryota, the bassist of the rock band ONE OK ROCK, are from Osaka.
Although they’re often thought of as a Tokyo band, it seems these two were central to the band’s formation.
The appeal of their music lies not only in Taka’s overwhelming vocal prowess but also in their dramatic and grand compositions.
When they debuted, they were known mainly among a segment of Japanese rock fans, but now they’re a band loved not just in Japan, but around the world.
Crush CoreTyrkouaz

Tyrkouaz is a next-generation artist you definitely need to check out.
They’re a neo-mixture rock band made up of twins S o ü t a and r e n t, and they’ve been releasing one buzzworthy track after another under the theme of “a new interpretation of video game music.” Tyrkouaz is steadily growing their fanbase through live performances as well.
You can watch their performances on their official YouTube channel, so I highly recommend checking it out.
CryVOLCANO

VOLCANO stands out with a unique presence in Japan’s heavy metal scene.
Formed in 1999, they made a sensational debut with their 2000 album “VIOLENT.” Mixed and mastered by Fredrik Nordström, the album drew attention and earned high praise both domestically and internationally.
Centered around She-Ja and featuring powerhouse members NOV, AKIRA, and SHUN, the band captivates many fans with overwhelming musicianship and a distinctive worldview.
They remain highly active, releasing “GOODSPEED” in 2020.
Their compelling fusion of heavyweight sound and delicate melodies makes them irresistible for heavy metal enthusiasts.
Kiss DiamondWEAVER

WEAVER is a piano rock band distinguished by its guitar-less three-piece setup of keyboard, bass, and drums.
The keyboard is handled by vocalist Yuji Sugimoto.
Interestingly, they weren’t originally a piano rock band; they started out as a guitar rock band, but after a member left, they shifted to their current lineup.
I imagine that change was enormous for the band, yet thinking that it ended up defining their character and becoming the catalyst for their fresh, flowing songs is pretty amazing, isn’t it?
CRUCIFY MY LOVEX JAPAN

The 15th single by X JAPAN, a five-member visual-kei rock band known as one of Japan’s most mainstream metal acts thanks to their aggressive metal sound and classical musicality.
This song was used as the ending theme for the information-variety show “Tonight 2” and as the commercial song for Nippon Oil’s “ZOA.” It’s a ballad that showcases X JAPAN’s wide musical range.
The beautiful high-toned vocals over an ensemble of just piano and strings evoke the poignancy and melancholy of autumn.
Despite being sung in English, its message pierces the heart—a simple yet majestic number.
Crazy LoveXY

XY is a rising boy group that made a spectacular debut under the production of YOSHIKI.
Formed by members who won the audition show “YOSHIKI SUPERSTAR PROJECT X,” their debut track captivates with its dramatic beats and moving piano melodies.
Their vibrant dance and vocals are even more compelling when experienced live.
If you’re looking to discover and support a new boy group, be sure to check out XY.
We’re excited to see where their journey goes from here.

Katsushika RhapsodyYum!Yum!ORANGE

A cover of the theme song from the anime “Kochira Katsushika-ku Kameari Kōen-mae Hashutsujo.” The original is by Kohei Dojima.
Dojima is second to none when it comes to capturing everyday scenes, and his melodic sense is wonderful.
The cover is by Yum Yum Orange, a ska band from Nagoya, and the chemistry is just perfect.
I don’t have any particular connection to Katsushika Ward, but listening to this song gives me the kind of energy you get from calling a friend back home.
If you’re too busy to visit your hometown, let this song loosen up your stiff shoulders a bit.
