When people think of jazz, many imagine something analog or acoustic.

While it’s true that much of jazz fits that image, there are of course genres that have evolved as electronic music as well.

Electro swing, developed by Parov Stelar, is a representative genre that mixes jazz with electronic music and has earned high praise in Europe.

“IT’S A KILLA” is a track that balances the appeal of electro swing with the charm of old-school house.

Kernkraft 400GYMBRO

Starting in 2023, Jim Brow began posting videos on YouTube.

Much of his background remains shrouded in mystery.

Have you checked out his take on “Kernkraft 400”? Before that, let’s talk about the song of the same name: it’s a track released in 1999 by Zombie Nation, the solo project of German music producer Florian Senfter.

Celebrated worldwide as a classic, Jim Brow has given it a psychedelic twist in his arrangement.

HILOMATIK’s HI-LO, also well known under Oliver Heldens’ name, delivers a techno tune in PURA VIDA whose sequenced synth phrase is irresistibly catchy.

The track is built very simply: starting from the intro, the recurring synth phrase forms the foundation while the rhythm track evolves over time.

Notably, there’s a boldly executed mid-track break so dramatic it almost makes you think the song has ended.

It’s a perfect accent that keeps the track fresh no matter how many times you listen!

To be honest, if you’re not familiar with electronic music, all the talk about genres probably sounds like complete gibberish.

In fact, even I have no clue about the terminology for genres I haven’t really dabbled in (lol).

That said, descriptions like “it sounds kind of like ◯◯” are easier to picture even if you’re not into electronic music.

This track, “My Paradise (Extended Mix),” is a slow-building house tune that shifts from something reminiscent of Billie Eilish’s “bad guy” into a groove that feels like 1990s Black music.

It’s easy to listen to even for beginners, so definitely give it a try.
