The Summer Without YouDEEN
This is DEEN’s 12th single overall, released in August 1997.
It was also used as the fourth ending theme for the Nippon TV anime Detective Conan.
As you’d expect from DEEN, who scored a string of big hits in the ’90s when “being often sung at karaoke” was a key condition for a song to become a hit, this track is also crafted to be very easy to sing and remember.
To aim for a high score, you’ll likely need to study the vocalist’s subtle phrasing in detail, but there aren’t any difficult parts, so definitely give it a try.
If you place the resonance so the sound hits the upper palate inside your mouth, you can produce a voice with lots of high-order overtones—a slightly sparkling tone—similar to the original singer.
brilliant; radiant; glittering; bright (sunlight)Daichi Miura

Daichi Miura is one of Japan’s leading R&B singers.
Because R&B singers generally have outstanding vocal ability compared to other genres, many people may feel anxious about whether they can really sing these songs.
Don’t worry.
The song we’re introducing today, “San San,” is pure pop, and for a Daichi Miura track, its vocal range is quite narrow, making it a very easy song to sing.
If you want to sound even better, pay close attention to dynamics.
By varying your volume between the final big chorus and the regular choruses, you’ll create a more dramatic vocal delivery—so be sure to keep that in mind.
Words of FarewellKaientai

Released in November 1979, the 16th single by Kaientai led by Tetsuya Takeda… Rather than explaining it that way, it might be more straightforward to say it’s the theme song of the first season of the popular drama “Mr.
Kinpachi in Class 3-B.” As the drama became a massive hit, the song also topped the charts, and nowadays it’s practically a standard at graduation ceremonies, so I imagine many people have sung it at some point.
Musically, it features a very simple melody and rhythm with memorable lyrics, making it easy for anyone to sing.
That’s likely why it’s so often chosen as a choral piece for graduations and similar occasions.
Some people may find the key a bit high, so when you sing it at karaoke, be sure to adjust the key to suit your range.
I love you, Osaka.Kanjani Eight

It was released in 2005 as a triple A-side single to Kanjani Eight’s third single, “Sukiyanen, Osaka.
/Sakura Enka (Oh! ENKA)/Mugendai.” The song was used in a House Foods commercial for “Sukiyanen,” in which Kanjani Eight appeared, and it became a hot topic for featuring a comedy skit by the members during the instrumental break.
With its bright, fun Kansai vibe, it’s an easy song to sing and recommended even for people who aren’t confident singers.
spring breezeyuzu

Many of Yuzu’s songs make you feel they require strong vocal ability, don’t they? But their song “Harukaze” is one I highly recommend for its exceptional singability.
This track about distant days of spring has a pleasant melody and gentle lyrics that slip easily into the listener’s heart.
Precisely because the lyrics are simple, there are moments that draw out even deeper emotions.
The song is also a collaboration with Taro Hakase, whose beautiful violin solo further elevates the piece.
Since it doesn’t demand many high notes, it’s easy to sing even for men with lower voices.
Songs that are easy to sing at karaoke even for those who feel like they’re tone-deaf (111–120)
On a boring nightcompletely; drastically; entirely; with a bang (sound of sliding door opening)

Singer-songwriter Garari has been steadily gaining momentum since his debut.
He’s known for drastically changing his musical style from song to song and has produced numerous classics.
Among his works, the one I especially recommend is “On a Boring Night.” Its musicality is somewhat close to Sakanaction, featuring a smooth, low-dynamic vocal line.
There’s a slight rise in voltage during the rap part in the middle, but otherwise the vocals remain very uniform—making it perfect if you’re aiming for a perfect score.
A letter to meZukai

Zukai is a band that’s drawing particular attention in Japan’s indie rock scene.
They’re a group rooted in authentic indie rock, and their well-defined sound has earned them a devoted core following.
Among their songs, the one I especially recommend is “A Letter to Me.” It may sound high at first, but the actual vocal range is quite narrow, and it doesn’t require foundational techniques like vibrato or falls.
If you’re aiming for a perfect score, definitely add it to your repertoire.
