Februarybloodthirsty butchers

Starting with a drum-driven rhythm, “February.” It’s a track by Bloodthirsty Butchers.
I’m drawn to the vocalist’s languid delivery.
It’s intense, yet it also conveys sorrow.
“February” is captivating thanks to its outstanding performance.
I hope you’ll give it a listen when you’re feeling sad or going through a tough time.
It will surely give you courage.
Dawn of the Thirteenth MonthBrian the Sun

A perfect track to boost your Friday vibes before the weekend is “13-Gatsu no Yoake” (Dawn of the 13th Month).
It’s included on the self-titled 2014 album “Brian the Sun” by the rock band Brian the Sun, who have made waves at numerous music festivals across Japan.
The song is also known as one of their early pieces from the band’s formation.
You’ll get a taste of weighty guitar rock delivered by a straightforward band setup.
Tune in to the passionate yet somehow emotional sound as well.
It’s a catchy rock number that makes you think, “Tomorrow’s a day off, so I’ll give it my all today!”
24K MagicBruno Mars

It’s a very up-tempo, catchy track with a completely different vibe from Bruno Mars’s previous songs.
It’s funk music featuring synthesizers, and while the vocals require listening to the song repeatedly and practicing thoroughly, if you’re doing it as a group performance or skit, it’s best to learn the choreography first.
If you prepare flashy, glitzy accessories and costumes overall, you’ll look more like Bruno and the performance will be more exciting.
1400km/hCANTA

CANTA is a band formed by top-tier musicians: Luke Takamura, the guitarist/vocalist who was a member of Seikima-II; Raiden Yuzawa on drums; and MASAKI, known for his lightning-fast bass playing.
Starting with this track, “1400km/h,” they aim for melodic hard rock rather than a showcase of technical one-upmanship, delivering classic rock sounds backed by solid musicianship.
20CHANMINA & ASH ISLAND

Chanmina, a female rapper who enjoys immense support from young people.
Her eccentric fashion, high-level vocals and rap, and down-to-earth lyrics that pierce the hearts of youth have earned her strong support from many women.
Among her songs, the one I especially recommend is “20.” She performs this track with her spouse, ASH ISLAND, and his rap part is easy for women to sing as well, so definitely check it out.

CHEETA, a native of Ishikawa Prefecture, was active as the drummer for the girls’ band Nakanomori BAND.
The band was formed in 2004 and made its major debut in 2005 with the single “Raspberry Pie.” In the same year Nakanomori BAND was formed, she also joined the pop-rock band myuuRy.
She left myuuRy in 2007, and Nakanomori BAND disbanded in 2008.

In addition to drumming, she also handles vocals and songwriting/composition.
November RainCHiCO with HoneyWorks

In November, when we feel the changing of the seasons, we’re often drawn to songs with a subdued, gentle mood.
This track, included on CHiCO with HoneyWorks’ album “Sekai wa i ni Michiteiru,” released in November 2015, is a perfect fit for that feeling.
Set against a backdrop of chilly November rain, it delicately portrays the immature feelings and regrets of young lovers, along with a sense of powerlessness before the passage of time.
The lyrics overlay the unspoken words—“I love you”—onto the time that slipped by like rain, resonating deeply with many listeners.
It’s a recommended song for moments when you want to reflect a little as the end of autumn draws near.
