Songs that start with “Pa.” Great for game hints or making playlists!
There are lots of words that start with “pa,” like “puzzle,” “punk,” and “party,” and plenty of songs that begin with those words, too.
In this article, we’ll introduce a bunch of songs whose titles start with “pa.”
Use it as a hint for games like “song shiritori,” where you play using only song titles, or “shiritori karaoke,” where you link songs in a chain while singing at karaoke.
It can also help when you want to create a playlist themed around the Japanese syllabary, like a “songs starting with the ‘pa’ row” list.
You might even discover tracks you don’t usually sing or listen to!

PASTELRhim.

Rhim is a four-piece instrumental band gaining attention for their pop-savvy, melodic compositions and live performances that captivate audiences.
Based in their hometown of Nagoya, they perform nationwide and have built popularity with a style that refuses to be confined by genre.
The refreshing sound of their first digital single, “PASTEL,” showcases an overwhelming expressive power that can conjure vivid scenes even without lyrics.
Their live shows also offer a different experience from their recordings, making them a band you should definitely see in person.
Papillons No. 2, Op. 2 in E-flat majorRobert Schumann

Composer Robert Schumann, renowned for his gentle works, is also extremely popular in Japan.
Among Schumann’s pieces, one I especially recommend for spring is Papillons No.
2 in E-flat major, Op.
2.
This work was inspired by Jean Paul Richter’s novel Flegeljahre (The Awkward Age), by the German poet of fantasy.
If you’d like to delve deeper into the piece, why not check out that book as well?
PASSIONATE ANTHEMRoselia

“PASSIONATE ANTHEM” means a passionate anthem.
Originally, “anthem” referred to a type of church music, but nowadays it’s also used to mean a band or group’s signature song.
The fact that they chose to call this song an anthem suggests they were quite confident in it.
But once you listen, you’ll understand—Aina Aiba’s vocal shouts are the real deal.
For those who don’t know much about Roselia yet, this is the one song I recommend starting with.
PassionSIAM SHADE

SIAM SHADE is often talked about in terms of the hit “1/3 no Junjō na Kanjo,” but they’re a powerhouse hard rock band with overwhelming musicianship, highly regarded by younger heavy metal and hard rock fans as well.
In their indie days, they performed as a fully made-up visual kei band, and there was even a period when, as LUNA SEA’s juniors, members worked as their roadies.
While their major breakthrough was, as mentioned, “1/3 no Junjō na Kanjo,” I’d like to spotlight “PASSION,” which was released in the same year, 1997.
The heavy, downtuned riffs, a solo that makes full use of tapping, and Hideki’s vocals paired with lyrics rich in wordplay are all phenomenal.
It’s a beloved classic among fans.

Pareo is emerald.SKE48

A refreshing pop song that vividly captures a summer romance.
The story is striking: a boy is surprised by the growth of a girl he’d thought of like a little sister and begins to fall for her.
The emerald-green pareo symbolizes the summer sea and mirrors the girl’s transformation.
The sparkling intro that shifts into an up-tempo groove is captivating and draws listeners in.
Released in July 2011 as SKE48’s sixth single, it was also performed at the 2012 Kohaku Uta Gassen.
The cheerful beach-set music video is another highlight.
A perfect track for summer drives or seaside dates—highly recommended for anyone wanting to feel the spirit of youth.
Hard Luck of the Crunchy AngelSTEAKA

A sharp, driving synth sound powers this cute yet hardcore electric number.
It’s a track packed with STEAKA’s signature, distinctive worldview, released in August 2023.
Vocals are by “Decentralized Autonomous Golem Rimuru.” The irresistibly addictive melody and sound design are to die for.
Perfect for blowing off steam or when you want something different from your usual listens.
Give this cutting-edge track a try!
PAN-PAKA-PAN!SUPER☆GiRLS

The Season 4 opening theme is “PAN-PAKA-PAN!” Even from the title, you can already feel a happy vibe.
It’s a song that fills you with courage, with heartfelt thanks to parents, friends, and teachers, and a bright message that says, “If we’re together with our friends, we can go anywhere!” The track was performed in rotation by units from iDOL Street, including SUPER☆GiRLS.
