AliveKrewella

Krewella, a duo of sisters, are making waves as a unit.
In EDM it’s common to feature guest singers, but in most of Krewella’s tracks the sisters sing themselves.
They also DJ during their live shows, and despite their cute looks, they’re serious, bona fide artists.
Their biggest hit so far is “Alive,” and their powerful vocals rival those of professional full-time singers.
HeroesAlesso

Hailing from Sweden, Alesso is especially popular for his glittering, shimmering synth phrases.
He’s regarded as a leading figure of the “sparkly-style EDM.” One of his signature tracks is Heroes.
It’s a refreshing song where dazzling synth leads bounce over a buildup that’s like a textbook example of EDM.
Incidentally, the title is said to be a reference to the legendary rock star David Bowie’s iconic song Heroes.

Showtek, a group formed in 2001, is considered a veteran in the EDM world.
Originally active in the hard techno scene, they’re known for their pounding low-end and gritty aesthetic.
As this track exemplifies, they’ve gained popularity with flashy bridges that explode into exhilarating drops.

Hardwell, hailing from the EDM powerhouse of the Netherlands.
With straightforward beats, melodies that build gradually, and positive messages, he’s become one of the major artists headlining EDM festivals around the world, including ULTRA.
Even in “Follow Me,” the cool, no-nonsense sound stands out, making it more than just a party tune.
Adagio For StringsTiësto

Tiesto, an indispensable figure when talking about EDM, included Adagio For Strings on his album Just Be.
The piece was originally composed by the American composer Samuel Barber, and this version is an arrangement.
While the original is in triple meter, it has been reworked into 4/4 time, resulting in a completely different atmosphere.
It’s a track you can simply get hyped to, but also one you can enjoy by comparing it with the original.

American producer DJ Khaled.
He had long been active in the hip-hop world, but on this track he brings in tropical house.
It became one of the defining hits of 2017.
The guest lineup is also star-studded, featuring headline-making star Justin Bieber and rising No.
1 rapper Chance the Rapper, among others.
