merry-go-roundPedro & Capricious

The single Merry-Go-Round, released on September 25, 1976.
The percussive sound layered with strings in the intro and the wistful vocals are quite lyrical, aren’t they? Since the melody uses few notes and doesn’t require a wide range, it’s recommended even for those who aren’t very confident singers.
Also, because the tempo is quite relaxed, there’s room to keep the original in mind or explore your own phrasing, so if you’re confident in your singing, why not give it a try?
In conclusion
This time, I introduced some of Mariya Takahashi’s easier songs—did you find a favorite? Since she’s an artist with excellent phrasing and dynamics, I recommend singing with feeling and keeping it gentle when you perform.
