DropHANA

HANA / Drop -Music Video-
DropHANA

HANA is an idol group drawing attention for their high-level performances.

They’re produced by the popular female rapper Chanmina, and their appeal lies in music and performances similar to K-pop.

Among their songs, the one I especially recommend is Drop.

It’s primarily hip-hop and sung mostly in a lower register.

It’s a piece that emphasizes groove over vocals, so there aren’t any standout vocal parts.

If you have a low voice and aren’t confident in your singing ability—but you can rap—this is a song you’ll definitely want to try.

Among the Sakamichi groups, Keyakizaka46 has been gaining momentum in particular.

The Sakamichi groups have always been appealing for their stylish musicality, but with the recent K-pop boom, we’ve seen more music that pushes a sharper edge.

Their new song, “Nightmare Syndrome,” is exactly that.

It’s a fusion of gothic and pop, with a sound reminiscent of Sam Smith’s “Unholy.” The production emphasizes low frequencies throughout, and the vocal lines aren’t as complex as typical K-pop, making it a very singable track for women with lower voices.

The dust on the shade extendsI wish it could stay midnight forever.

Zutto Mayonaka de Iinoni. “Shade Dust Is Extended” (ZUTOMAYO – SHADE) (Audio Track)
I wish the shade’s dust would keep extending all the way into midnight.

The band Zutto Mayonaka de Iinoni.

, known for catchy music and lyrics that capture young listeners, has gained widespread popularity.

Because vocalist ACA-ne has a high voice, women with lower vocal ranges might tend to avoid their songs.

That’s why we recommend “Shade no Hoshi wa Enchō.” It may sound like a high-pitched song, but its overall range isn’t very wide, so as long as you adjust it to your own key, women with lower voices should be able to sing it without any trouble.

O warriors of weakness with broken wingsUpiko

Upiko – O weak warriors with broken wings
O you frail warriors with broken wings, Yopiko

Upiko is a singer-songwriter drawing attention for a musicality reminiscent of Miyuki Nakajima.

She’s known for lyrics that stir the heart, an emotionally rich singing style, and a characteristically low voice.

Among her works, “O Broken-Winged, Weary Warriors” is one I especially recommend for women with lower voices.

The vocal line is close to Showa-era pop, so there aren’t complex leaps in pitch.

While expressive delivery is required, the overall range is narrow, making it a relatively easy song to sing for women with lower voices.

A hundred flowers in full bloomLila Ikuta

Rira Ikuta, known as the vocalist of YOASOBI, is also active as a solo artist and has produced numerous classic songs to date.

Among her works, the one I especially recommend is Hyakka Ryoran.

It may seem like a high-pitched song, but for a Rira Ikuta track, its vocal range is relatively narrow, and there aren’t any high sections with continuous falsetto.

However, there are many key changes, so make sure to firmly grasp the melody in advance.

platitudesHoshimachi Suisei

Suisei Hoshimachi, the VTuber currently attracting the most attention, is a member of hololive and has gained nationwide popularity as an artist.

While many of her songs span a wide vocal range with touches of falsetto, that’s not the case with Kireigoto.

In this piece, aside from a single falsetto moment that appears once in the chorus, there are no high parts, and the song is arranged in a low register throughout.

Even the falsetto line is something she could sing in chest voice but chooses to render in falsetto, making it easy to sing for women with lower voices.

Beautiful worldAimer

Aimer “Beautiful World” Lyric Video
Beautiful World Aimer

Singer-songwriter Aimer is hugely popular.

It’s no exaggeration to call her the queen of modern ballads, as she’s widely praised for her heartrending songs.

Among her works, one I especially recommend is Utsukushii Sekai.

While it doesn’t have a particularly narrow vocal range, it features many low to lower-mid sections throughout, making it a song that lets women with lower voices shine.

Since it isn’t a track that relies on Aimer’s vocal acrobatics, the vocal line is kept simple with relatively gentle contours.

It’s an excellent song that combines ease of singing with the appeal of low tones.
