Dragon Risingtakamatt

GUMI and Kagamine Len – Dragon Rising (Dragon Rising)
Dragon Rising takamatt

This song, sung by GUMI and Kagamine Rin—famous not only in the Vocaloid scene but even among people who don’t usually listen to Vocaloid—was produced by takamatt.

From the very beginning it has a strong techno vibe, and the steady, understated vocals match that atmosphere perfectly and sound really cool! The lyrics flow nonstop, so breathing can get pretty challenging, but since it’s a duet, cover for each other so it doesn’t get too tough! It’s also great as a duet between two men or a mixed-gender pair if you want to give it that cool, confident edge.

Dolphin Kick / wotaku feat. Hatsune Miku
Dolphin kick wotaku

It’s an upbeat summer tune that bursts open like a big, blooming flower! The song is by Vocaloid producer wotaku and was released in 2022.

If you’re familiar with wotaku’s work, you might have been surprised when you heard it—since they’ve released so many dark tracks, who would’ve thought they could nail such a cute summer song too? I’m in awe of their wide-ranging songwriting skills.

That said, the hardcore interlude is classic wotaku.

It’s the kind of track that’ll hype you up anytime, not just in summer!

DOGS / Reol + 96Neko Cover
DOGSyukkedolce

It’s a hardcore, super cool track—perfect for cranking your energy up first thing in the morning.

I especially recommend this version sung by Reol and 96neko; the gritty vocals are really satisfying.

It makes you want to blast it while doing your makeup and get pumped.

Dr. Copy¿?

Dr. Copy / ¿? feat. flower
Dr. Copy¿?

This song features an unforgettable, earworm melody laced with satire about modern society.

Released on December 31, 2023, it sparked widespread buzz.

It depicts the “plagiarists” who churn out counterfeits and imitations, and the audience as “slaves” who consume them, sharply criticizing commercialism in the music industry.

It also touches on lives saved by idols and stars, as well as dreams that were cut short.

A must-listen for those who want to savor the swirling emotions beneath its powerful sound.

A work that shines with the talent of shimon—also known as ¿?—and delivers a scathing message to society.

This song is by Kuchibashi-P, a multifaceted creator who also handles the illustrations used in the videos.

Released in 2011, its repeatedly sung chorus captured the hearts of many Vocaloid fans.

Though the arrangement is simple, the track has a driving, stylish feel.

The main riff has a somewhat folk-like vibe, too.

Highly addictive.

Its decadent worldview is captivating.

Created by Kururingo, a popular Vocaloid producer known for works like “Mary and the Amusement Park” and “Punishment Game,” it was released in 2012.

The sorrowful, heart-wrenching story drew attention for bringing listeners to tears.

It is also a sequel to the previous song “The Guinea Pig and the Mercenary.” Even just reading the lyrics leaves you with a sense of sadness.

You can’t help but wish for the characters’ happiness.

Animal Fortune-tellingscoop

[Hatsune Miku] Animal Fortune-telling [Original Song with PV]
Animal Fortune-telling Scoop

A rock love song that makes your heart flutter with single-minded feelings! It’s a track by the Vocaloid producer Sukoppu, known for hits like “Keppekishou” and “Irony,” released in 2010.

The lyric “Other horoscopes didn’t work out, but in the animal horoscope our compatibility is perfect!” is just irresistibly cute.

The frustration of not being noticed by the person you like is a little heartbreaking, but that, too, is part of its charm—totally adorable! It might remind you of the bittersweet romances you experienced long ago.
