Vocaloid songs that start with 'O'

If you’ve come here, chances are you like Vocaloid songs.

It’s been a long time since Hatsune Miku’s debut in 2007, and countless masterpieces have continued to be born.

In the meantime, the Vocaloid scene has seeped so deeply into the times and culture that we even have the term “Vocaloid-native generation.”

Now then, what I’m introducing this time is a selection of Vocaloid tracks whose titles start with the letter “O.”

Be sure to read to the end and find a new favorite track!

The songwriter and composer is Toma, known for distinctive melodies and lyrics that depict a decadent worldview.

The song’s structure showcases Toma’s unique sensibilities, and the slightly husky vocals resonate with a poignant touch.

The lyrics are open to various interpretations, so I recommend taking your time to read them carefully.

When I grow upWarm Aquarium

This song portrays the pure dreams of childhood and the inner conflict of becoming an adult.

Created by Warm Aquarium, it was released in May 2024.

Hatsune Miku’s matter-of-fact vocal delivery is striking, and it pairs well with the nostalgic melody and electronica elements woven into the arrangement.

It begins with scenes of self-questioning in a six-tatami room, then unfolds into memories lost in the process of growing up and the anxiety that brings.

It’s the kind of song that can move you to tears when you’re feeling sentimental.

Uneven / Kaai Yuki & Hatsune Miku
Uneven OLDUCT

Released by OLDUCT in December 2024, this work features an impressive, tightly synchronized harmony between Kaai Yuki and Hatsune Miku.

Its cutting-edge sonic approach and cyber-chaotic lyrics are superbly in sync as well.

You can feel a range of musical elements, including EDM, drum and bass, breakbeats, and ambient music.

If you want to explore avant-garde Vocaloid tracks, be sure to give this one a listen!

Otome Kaibou (DECO*27)96 Neko

Because her voice is so incredibly cool, there were even rumors that she might be male, but she is a bona fide female singer! Depending on the song, she switches from a husky voice to a sexy one, and she’s not only uploading cover videos of Vocaloid songs but is also active as a voice actress and on live tours.

She has even made her major-label debut!

Mom Akari P

As the creator commented, “This is a song dedicated to all mothers and their children,” it’s a cute and slightly tear-jerking piece featuring a child who wants to act grown-up and a worry-prone mother.

It’s by Vocaloid producer AkariP, known for releasing many soothing tracks, and it was published in 2008.

It captures a mother’s feelings that you only come to understand when you become a parent yourself.

Those with children will likely find it easy to relate.

Incidentally, there’s a trick where the last line connects back to the first line, creating a loop.

Brutal LEONLEON / Masaop (True Blue P)

This is the opening song of the BL game “Kichiku Megane” sung by Leon.

It has become a male VOCALOID assignment piece.

It seems Choiwaru-P’s influence was quite significant.

The tuning is well done, but it’s hard to focus on the singing because of the video.

I want to be a princess!OSTER project

As expected, among all the Vocaloids, Kagamine Rin is by far the best fit for cute songs.

From the samba-style intro, the lyrics let you dive straight into an adorably sweet world.

All in all, it’s a track packed tightly with a girl’s dreams and aspirations.
