Summer BeachSinyA

[Hatsune Miku] Summer Beach [Original Song]
Summer Beach Shinya

“Summer Beach” is characterized by crisp guitar tones, percussive rhythms, and a tropical vibe.

It was released in 2016.

The steady four-on-the-floor beat makes it easy to groove to and lifts your spirits, but the lyrics tell a one-summer love story that adds a touch of wistfulness.

The detailed variety of fills keeps it engaging from start to finish.

SalvationHealthy Cathedral

Salvation / KAITO V3 – Healthy Cathedral [VOCALOID Original Song]
Salvation Sukoyaka Cathedral

A high-sense, stylish piece that begins with a calm, matter-of-fact poetry reading.

It’s a signature work by Vocaloid producer Sukoyaka Daiseidō, released in 2021.

An artful number where a rhythm infused with drum’n’bass elements intertwines with a mechanically resonant piano sound.

The noisy vocals are also striking, revealing what feels like a new side of KAITO.

The sonic image matches the philosophical lyrics as well.

Try listening with the volume turned up.

Upside-down rainbowsunzuri ver P

[★Hatsune Miku HD★ and Future Stars Project mirai] Upside-Down Rainbow
Upside-down rainbow sunzri verP

You can tell it’s technopop after listening for just a moment.

And as you keep listening, you’ll realize it’s an intriguing song that shows many different facets.

As the composer says, “I thought it might be a plain, ordinary song, so I tried to make it as flashy as possible by adding various touches.” At first glance, it’s a calm piece that unfolds at a relaxed pace, but it’s filled with inventive details that keep it from being just that.

Please enjoy the world crafted by the ear-pleasing music and cute lyrics.

[Tako Luka] 1/365 [Tako-Luka]
1/365 Tasoku

This piece was created as a birthday song for Megurine Luka.

It’s a track by Tasoku—also known under the name Re:ON—released in 2011.

“1/365” refers to one day out of the 365 days in a year—in other words, that special day: a birthday.

You can really feel the overflowing desire to celebrate.

The warm, acoustic sound is wonderful too, with the tambourine standing out in particular.

Be sure to clap along and get into the groove!

SAYONARATiara

[Hatsune Miku] SAYONARA [Original MV]
Goodbye, Tiara

This is a collaboration song by Tiara and illustrator AO, posted in 2014.

The delicate melodic lines feel pleasant.

The PV featuring AO’s illustrations is also beautiful, giving the whole piece a stylish vibe.

The sparkling sound is wonderful as well.

Sakura -SAKURA-Tiara

[Hatsune Miku] Sakura -SAKURA- [Original MV]
Sakura -SAKURA- Tiara

Spring means graduation season—it’s an emotionally moving Vocaloid song especially for junior high and high school students.

Composed by Tiara, who also created “Undefined -End of Sorrow-,” it was released in 2020.

It’s a message song dedicated to those setting out on a new journey, with themes anyone can relate to.

It sings: you may feel uncertain, but keep walking toward the future with confidence, and let’s meet again someday.

The beautifully resonant strings in the arrangement also really hit home.

Sakura, sakuraDennoko-P

I’m overwhelmed by the worldbuilding.

This track by Dennoko-P, whose uniquely individual musical style is embraced by overseas Vocaloid fans as well, was released in 2022.

The way it shifts—from an electric first half themed around the internet and the desire for validation to a transformation into the traditional song “Sakura Sakura”—is absolutely phenomenal.

It has so much appeal that I want to grab people by the shoulders and say, “Just listen to it.” Even those who always listen to Vocaloid songs might find it shocking.
