Truly Dark... Iconic Western Songs | So dark that it may trigger depression—proceed with caution! (81–90)
bury a friendBillie Eilish

Billie Eilish is a female singer-songwriter who enjoys overwhelming support from younger generations.
When you think of dark, cool tracks, many people probably think of her.
Among her songs, the one I especially recommend is “bury a friend.” Unlike “bad guy,” this track places an even greater emphasis on a dark worldview.
Combined with Billie Eilish’s downer-style vocals, it creates a distinctly cool vibe.
Be sure to check it out.
Black Widow ft. Rita OraIggy Azalea

It’s included on the album The New Classic.
Katy Perry was involved in the production, and Rita Ora sings the hook.
The music video, inspired by the film Kill Bill, also gives off a Cool Japan vibe, which I found intriguing.
Down About ItThe Lemonheads

The Lemonheads are an American alternative rock band formed in 1986.
This track is included on their sixth album, Come on Feel the Lemonheads, released in 1993.
It’s a track characterized by introspective, blue-tinged lyrics.
Papa Don’t PreachMadonna

It’s a song included on the album “True Blue” that reached number one in both the US and the UK.
The lyrics, which depict a young girl’s pregnancy, sparked mixed reactions, but there’s no doubt it’s a masterpiece.
The music video, told as a story, is like a movie and is so moving it can bring you to tears.
In conclusion
When you’re feeling down, you can’t help but want to listen to dark songs.
Of course, listening to gloomy music when you’re in that mood will only make you feel even more depressed, but I think it’s okay to have times like that once in a while.
That said, if you keep listening to it, it might start affecting your daily life.
In those moments, instead of trying to brighten your mood, it might be good to turn it into anger.
On Rug Music, we also feature Western songs themed around anger, so if you’re ready to get your mood back on track, be sure to check them out.
