[2025] A Must-See for Beginners! A Collection of Easy-to-Sing Western Songs for Karaoke (21–30)

Lady Gaga is a female singer-songwriter who has been active for many years since the late 2000s.

Although she stepped back from the mainstream for a time, she’s now back near the top of the charts.

Among her songs, the one I especially recommend is Bad Romance.

While her music often draws attention for its eccentric pop style, this track surprisingly places a strong emphasis on groove.

Because of that, it requires relatively little vocal technique, making it very easy for beginners to sing.

WhateverOasis

Oasis, the rock band that still enjoys huge popularity among many young people in Japan.

I think there are still plenty of people who discovered their songs through the film BECK and the like.

Among their tracks, the one I especially recommend is Whatever.

Contrary to the song’s overall feel, the vocal line is surprisingly set in a low register.

Even if you struggle with high notes, you should be able to sing this song.

That said, it’s not just about singing low—if you focus on adding overtones, it will sound more like Western pop, which I recommend.

Top Of The WorldCarpenters

The Carpenters were a pop duo known for their soothing musical style.

They enjoyed worldwide success, but their popularity in Japan was exceptionally high, and even now, after the passing of vocalist Karen Carpenter, their songs continue to be used in Japanese media.

Among their tracks, the one I particularly recommend is Top of the World.

Because the chorus ramps up the energy all at once, it might seem difficult, but once you try singing it, you’ll realize the range is surprisingly no wider than in the verse.

It’s a song many people are familiar with, so beginners should definitely give it a listen.

DesperadoThe Eagles

The Eagles, a band that gained popularity for their superb musicianship and musicality.

With their original sound centered on country rock and folk rock, they have created numerous classic songs.

Among them, “Desperado” is a track I especially recommend for karaoke beginners.

While it doesn’t require extremely high notes, it does call for a certain amount of vocal power, so the difficulty is slightly on the higher side.

However, since the song has been covered by many artists, it should be relatively easy to find an arrangement that suits your vocal tone.

Rock tunes really get the crowd going, don’t they? So the song I’d like to introduce is “Locked Out Of Heaven.” It has a slightly mature vibe and portrays a passionate romance between a man and a woman.

Its biggest hallmark is that the chorus is made up of words that feel like you’re humming the melody.

That makes it easy to sing even for people who say, “I’m not good at English pronunciation” or “I can’t memorize lyrics.” Plus, the catchy melody makes it easier to stay on pitch, which is another nice point.

Ed Sheeran is a singer everyone knows.

His song Eyes Closed is included on the album – (Subtract).

It tells the story of a man who has lost someone he loves, visits a bar, and sinks into sorrow while listening to various songs.

Combined with its gentle melody, singing it might help heal friends or family who are hurting.

And since it’s slow-tempo, it’s perfect for those who struggle with fast English lyrics.

Jamie Miller is a pop singer from the UK.

He might not be very well-known in Japan, but he’s hugely popular in Britain, and his distinctive tone and unique singing style create a world all his own.

Among his works, the one I especially recommend is “Maybe Next Time.” It’s an emotional ballad, and if someone with a similarly husky voice sings it, I think it can sound incredibly cool.

Be sure to check it out.
