Venus (Bananarama Cover)Royal Republic

Royal Republic, an accomplished rock band formed in Malmö in southern Sweden in 2007, released a truly unique cover in June 2025.
It’s their bold reinterpretation of that famed disco anthem bearing the name of the goddess of beauty—originally created by Shocking Blue and later a massive hit as covered by Bananarama.
The track is accompanied by a much-talked-about music video in which the band performs as a fictional black metal group called “The Blastbeaters,” unleashing a fierce performance with a Volvo 140 in the background.
The result is a standout cover that explosively overturns the image of the original with a hard rock sound.
As the first installment in a four-part series of disco classic remakes, it showcases their playful spirit and musical adventurousness, making it a track that heightens anticipation for what they’ll do next.
Virginia TechPanda Bear

Panda Bear, an American musician also known as a co-founder of the experimental pop band Animal Collective.
His February 2025 album “Sinister Grift” received high acclaim, and a track that was initially available only as the B-side to the lead single “Defense” on a limited 7-inch record was released in June 2025, allowing it to reach a wider audience.
Co-produced with his Animal Collective bandmate Deakin, with additional production by Oneohtrix Point Never, the piece layers Panda Bear’s signature multi-tracked vocals over a tapestry of synthesizers and percussion, unfolding into a dreamlike, hypnotic soundscape.
The sitar-like timbres that appear toward the end deepen the psychedelic atmosphere, and this work—often described as among the most beautiful in Panda Bear’s career—feels like a plunge into emotional depths.
It’s a perfect choice for listeners eager to experience his musical curiosity or to fully immerse themselves in a world of sound.

VIOLENT NATUREI Prevail

I Prevail, the Michigan-based American band that has produced numerous hits by fusing metalcore and post-hardcore, first made waves in 2014 with their metal cover of Taylor Swift’s “Blank Space,” and even earned a Grammy nomination.
In May 2025, they released their first single under a new lineup.
Following the departure of co-founder Brian Burkheiser, Eric Vanlerberghe now takes on lead vocals.
Despite its brief 2-minute-10-second runtime, the track is an aggressive number packed with the band’s signature fierce guitar riffs and thunderous drum sound.
Centered on the theme of inner conflict, it’s a must-listen for anyone craving a heavy metal sound!
VacayAminé

Amine, an African American rapper and singer-songwriter, has released a lead single themed around a summer vacation from his upcoming new album “13 Months of Sunshine,” slated for release in May 2025.
Produced by DJ Dahi and Ely Rise, the hip-house track rides on a breezy beat and danceable rhythm, unfolding playful lyrics that depict stays at resorts and boutique hotels in Marseille.
The song also weaves in references to Dua Lipa and The White Lotus, underscoring its ties to contemporary pop culture.
Following his previous album “Kaytraminé,” which explored a fusion with electronic music, this new track delivers an even brighter, lighter sound that captures the feeling of summer’s arrival.
V.I.S.Portugal. The Man

This track by the talented alternative rock band Portugal.
The Man, hailing from Alaska, set for release in April 2025, invites you on a four-minute journey that begins with a cool, dry guitar line.
Its sound feels fresh—like ’90s grunge with a touch of Chris Isaak—and the lyrics, which depict childhood fears and memories, are equally captivating.
Sludgy guitars intertwine exquisitely with fanfare-like countermelodies, while powerful vocals pull the song tight.
The piece was born from the sessions for their 2023 album “Chris Black Changed My Life,” reportedly the product of an improvisational process that saw it written in just one day.
It’s a track you’ll want to play on a nighttime drive or during moments of quiet reflection.
VertigoSophie Ellis-Bextor

In April 2025, British singer-songwriter Sophie Ellis-Bextor released a new track brimming with dizzying euphoria.
As the third single from her eighth studio album, the song stands out for its dramatic strings and a bridge that captures a swell of emotion.
The lyrics—direct and passionate—vividly portray the tumult of love, which is one of the track’s key charms.
After her signature hit “Murder on the Dancefloor” was featured in the 2023 film Saltburn and she returned to the spotlight, she signed with Universal Music.
The album is slated for release in the summer.
Its electronic, disco-tinged sound is perfect for swaying comfortably on the dance floor or basking in the exhilaration of romance.
VIGILANTESWARGASM

The new single from WARGASM, the electro-punk duo based in London, UK, dropping in April 2025, is a hard-hitting killer tune that masterfully fuses punk rock and nu metal.
Over aggressive riffs and electronic beats, the emotionally charged twin vocals of Sam Matlock and Milkie Way intertwine, powerfully expressing frustration and anger toward modern society.
This highly anticipated release follows their album Venom, which reached No.
19 on the UK Rock & Metal Albums Chart.
It’s a track that encapsulates the duo’s true prowess—winners of Best Single at the Heavy Music Awards in 2023—and is highly recommended for those drawn to edgy sounds and strong messages.
