Songs under one minute to around a minute long (Great for karaoke?)

A bit of an oddball selection: I’ve put together songs that run within a minute to about a minute long.

Times have changed, and for various reasons there are more short songs these days—but there are probably enthusiasts out there who love those bite-sized tracks!

There are some scream-only and instrumental pieces just a few seconds long, but in this article I’m featuring songs that have proper lyrics and are within a minute or in the one‑minute range.

There are famous commercial jingles and some gag-like tracks too, so they’re great for livening up karaoke!

They might also come in handy when you’re short on time!

There are plenty of songs that only last a few dozen seconds, so give them a try!

Will these get the crowd going at karaoke? Short songs under or around 1 minute (1–10)

Fuji Safari ParkAkira Kushida

Even a short song can get everyone pumped up—Akira Kushida’s “Fuji Safari Park” is a perfect example.

Its fast-paced rhythm throws you straight into the world of the song, and the vivid images of animals leave a strong impression.

It’s only about 30 seconds long.

That makes it easy to try, even for those who aren’t comfortable in the spotlight.

And ever since it first aired in 1980, it’s that commercial jingle so many households have heard! It’s friendly, unforgettable after just one listen, and guaranteed to liven up any karaoke gathering!

If you don’t wash your hands for at least 30 seconds, you can’t remove the virus—tempted by the twilight, the jet-black angels.

There’s a perfect song for people who feel a bit awkward about karaoke.

I recommend “You Can’t Remove the Virus Without Washing Your Hands for at Least 30 Seconds,” released in 2020 by Yuuyami ni Sasoi Shi Shikkoku no Tenshitachi.

It delivers an important message about preventing the spread of infection, and, as the title suggests, you can finish singing it in just 30 seconds—combining convenience with practicality.

Centered on the common enemy of COVID-19, this track surprisingly gets the crowd going even in a karaoke box, letting both the singer and the listeners enjoy it together.

It’s a song that leaves a strong impression in a short time.

Yokohama Ginbae’s “Shiritori Rock ’n’ Roll” is a short, fast-paced track that’s guaranteed to get the energy up at karaoke even today.

It carries the breeze of the 1980s while delivering a timeless sense of exhilaration.

It’s only a minute long, but it packs all of their signature appeal into that brief span, with an easy catchiness that anyone can hum along to.

It’s perfect for people who aren’t confident singers or who want their karaoke turn to be quick.

Short as it is, it’s a magical song that lifts the mood of the room—give it a try!

The Yanbo Marbo SongTakako Nakamori

A perfect example of brevity creating impact is “Yanboh Mahboh no Uta,” released in 1964.

This song was the theme for a TV program featuring the cute characters Yanboh and Mahboh, and it was extremely popular as a commercial jingle as well.

It’s short, but the melody sticks in your head, and the lyrics effectively convey the company’s image.

When you sing it, you can capture the audience’s attention in an instant.

It’s perfect for people asking for short songs at karaoke.

Precisely because it’s short, it’s easy for beginners to sing, and it can become a memorable tune.

20 SECONDSHEY-SMITH

It’s a high-energy short tune of about a minute that gives you a boost every time you listen.

The sound is packed with the driving momentum unique to ska punk—so cool.

The lyrics capture a young person’s anxiety: “There’s so much I want to do, but not enough time,” which is instantly relatable.

It’s included on the album “14 -Fourteen-,” released in January 2011.

Perfect when you want to deliver a message that hits home in a short time, or to wrap up a karaoke session when you’re short on time.

Song of Sogeking (the Hero)Sogeking and the Straw Hat Boys and Girls Choir

A catchy, courage-boosting melody—that’s “Sogeking (Hero) no Uta.” This song symbolizes the character Sogeking from One Piece, known for his fiery battles, and it’s a familiar tune for anime fans.

It’s only one minute long, but it’s packed with grand adventures.

Even after its 2007 release, its momentum hasn’t faded one bit.

Why not sing it yourself and feel like a hero?
