A Collection of Classic Vocaloid Masterpieces Released in 2010 [Nostalgic]

Sparked by the 2007 release of the vocal synthesis library “Hatsune Miku,” the Vocaloid scene spread explosively, centered around Niconico Douga.

Some of you might have jumped on the boom back then and devoted your youth to Vocaloid.

I’m one of those people, as you can probably tell from what I’m writing here.

This time, we’re featuring a selection of iconic Vocaloid tracks from 2010!

It’s a lineup that will feel nostalgic and also help you rediscover what makes these songs great.

Of course, works by Vocaloid producers who are still active today are included as well!

Be sure to check it out to the end.

Vocaloid Masterpieces Released in 2010 [Nostalgic] (11–20)

Hello/How are you?Nanou

Hello/How Are You (feat. Hatsune Miku & Megpoid)
Hello/How are you now?

This song is sure to resonate when you face feelings that only you can truly understand—your honest, innermost thoughts.

It’s a track by Nanou, a Vocaloid producer also known as Hoehoe-P.

With a mid-tempo pace that feels as if it’s matching your walking speed, the sound carries a sense of warmth.

The gentleness of the vocals is likely one reason it feels that way.

In the course of social life, there are true feelings that are hard to tell others and impossible to put into words.

I believe this song will clear away the tightness caught in your throat.

Rolling Girlwowaka

Rolling Girl wowaka

You can’t leave out this high-speed, high-style rock tune! It’s a track by wowaka—Vocaloid producer and former frontman of the rock band Hitorie—released in February 2010.

The sound image, rich in high-frequency elements, is irresistibly cool! Another draw is the somewhat decadent lyrical world centered on a girl’s words.

It’s a work that many currently active Vocaloid producers openly say influenced them.

Back then, “utatte mita” covers and fan-made animated MVs were skyrocketing in views, right?

clownkei

Pierrot – KEI feat. Hatsune Miku
Clown kei

It’s a bittersweet yet warm song that portrays the inner world of a circus clown.

Composed by KEI, it was released in June 2010.

The lively tempo and rock-tinged sound are striking.

And the depiction in the lyrics—of a clown who, through his interactions with a young girl in the audience, gradually regains his true self—is deeply moving.

The kindness conveyed through straightforward words is truly wonderful.

I think it’s a song that especially resonates when your heart is tired.

In conclusion

I think they were all works that continue to be listened to even now.

There were also some with remakes that have been released, weren’t there? You could feel a different kind of appeal from the original versions, couldn’t you? No matter how much time passes, wonderful music always brings a smile to our faces!
