Christmas with everyoneLyrics and Music: Osamu Sakata

Christmas With Everyone — Osamu Sakata, Yuko Kanzaki
Christmas by Everyone Lyrics and Music by Osamu Sakata

This song, “Christmas for Everyone,” might be a bit shocking because of its realistic lyrics.

It reveals the reality of Christmas outside one’s own home—namely, that there are houses where Santa doesn’t come—and realizing that is very important, isn’t it? That’s exactly why this socially conscious, classic Christmas song nurtures the kindness of wishing, “Santa, please give presents fairly to everyone.” The song was performed on NHK’s “Okaasan to Issho” in December 1989.

It was written and composed by the big brother singer Osamu Sakata, and sung as a duet with the big sister singer Yuko Kanzaki.

White Christmas

White Christmas – Christmas Carol – Christmas Kids Song – Xmas Music
White Christmas

When you think of Christmas, what kind of scene comes to mind? This song sings of the happy images of a white Christmas that I imagine.

Composed by American songwriter Irving Berlin and first brought to the world by singer and actor Bing Crosby, it has been covered by many famous artists, but Bing Crosby’s version is still the most frequently used today.

Set to a calm and gentle melody, it’s a song that dreams of the wonderful Christmases we’ve had and the Christmas scenes we hope to experience.

It’s a tender piece that makes you want to remember the wonderful Christmases spent with Mom and Dad even after you’ve grown up.

Happy Christmas (War Is Over)John Lennon & Yoko Ono

This is “Happy Xmas (War Is Over),” a song by John Lennon and Yoko Ono released in 1971.

It was created as an anti-war song and isn’t a Christmas song meant for children.

Still, it’s a peace-affirming track I hope every child will hear at least once.

Listening to it makes you realize, almost painfully, how fortunate it is to be able to wait for Christmas presents without any fear.

I can hear the Christmas songComposer: Toshihiko Shinzawa

"I Can Hear the Christmas Songs" is a big hit! [Songbook with CD: "Christmas SONGS"]
I can hear the Christmas song, composed by Toshihiko Shinzawa.

The Christmas song “Kurisumasu no Uta ga Kikoete Kuru yo” (You Can Hear the Christmas Song), with lyrics and music by Toshihiko Shinazawa—known for composing many children’s songs—features vocals by Satoko Yamano, who was active as the singing “big sister” on NHK Educational TV’s “Yukai na Concert.” Since various animals appear in the song, it’s recommended for children in daycare or kindergarten! It also seems fun as a play song, where kids can enjoy imitating the animals.

Christmas shan-shansepa

Christmas Shan-Shan Choreography / Educational Christmas Song for Children
Christmas ShanShan sepa

A Christmas song by sepa, a father of two who started writing nursery rhymes under the influence of his own children.

Since more than half of the lyrics are made up of onomatopoeia, it’s easy for young children to memorize.

It’s also a dance track that makes you want to move your body to the sound of the bells, so if you’re looking for a song to sing and dance to, this is a great choice! Even at a Christmas party with kids of different ages, this song is sure to be fun for everyone!

Frosty the SnowmanComposed by Walter “Jack” Rollins and Steve Nelson

Frosty the Snowman | Frosty the Snowman (Yukidaruma no Frosty) | Bilingual Singing in Japanese and English
Frosty the Snowman, composed by Walter “Jack” Rollins and Steve Nelson

When the Christmas season comes around, isn’t this one of those songs you hear everywhere? It’s often performed with the piano taking the lead, and its catchy rhythm conveys a joyful atmosphere.

The story follows a snowman named Frosty who is brought to life, plays with children, and eventually sets off on a journey far away.

There is also a Japanese title, “Kaze mo Yuki mo Tomodachi da” (“The Wind and Snow Are Our Friends”), which depicts children enjoying the snowy weather.

It seems like a fun piece where you could even compare and sing the two versions with their different narratives.

Flying-in Santa Claus

The Flying Santa Claus (Fusako Fujimoto ver.)
Flying-in Santa Claus

This song is brimming with humor about Santa running a little late.

Released to the world in 1958 as “Donde Esta Santa Claus,” it has been beloved by children for years thanks to its lively rhythm and catchy melody.

It’s perfect for Christmas parties, where everyone can sing along joyfully to the rhythmic music.

It’s also handy for parents and teachers when preparing for the holiday season.

With its friendly, easy-to-sing tune, it helps create a festive atmosphere at home, too.

Imagining Santa’s fun adventures, the whole family can sing and enjoy this charming Christmas song together.
