Karaoke songs that make it easy to score 100 points [for women]
With the rise of K-pop in recent years, the difficulty level of Japanese music has risen significantly.
In karaoke scoring—where pitch control is paramount, especially because melodies now tend to jump more drastically—there seem to be far fewer songs with which you can realistically aim for a perfect 100.
So this time, we’ve selected easy-to-sing tracks, focusing on recent releases, that you can target for a 100! We’ve also included concrete technique explanations from a vocal coach, so be sure to read through to the end!

Karaoke Songs That Make It Easy to Score 100 Points [For Women] (111–120)
Let yourself go with the flow of timeTeresa Teng

This is Teresa Teng’s 16th single in total, released on February 21, 1986.
It’s a masterpiece with a very flowing, beautiful, and simple melody! The vocal melody doesn’t span a very wide range, so it’s a song you can sing comfortably if you pick it for karaoke.
For that reason, I think it’s not too hard to score 100 points, either.
When you sing it, especially toward the end of the chorus, try to add dynamics to your performance and be careful that the brief high note that appears doesn’t become too sharp or jarring.

missing youAi Tomioka

Ai Tomioka is a female singer-songwriter who has gained popularity for her message-driven songs that speak for young people.
While her main style is J-pop, she’s also influenced by Taylor Swift, and you can sense a touch of Western country music in her tracks.
Among her songs, the one I especially recommend is “missing you.” This piece is a gentle J-pop track with a hint of country flavor.
The vocal range is narrow and there are no belt parts, making it easier to aim for a perfect score.
Definitely give it a try.
I'm falling in love with you againFuyumi Sakamoto

This is Fuyumi Sakamoto’s 37th single, released in January 2009.
Although it’s one of her signature songs, the original is by Billy BanBan, and this work is a cover version.
Sakamoto’s vocal ability and expressive power are exceptional, and she showcases her talent fully in this track.
That said, the vocal melody itself is simple and easy to sing.
If you study the original closely and reproduce the nuances down to the fine details, aiming for a perfect 100 in karaoke shouldn’t be too difficult.
Sing with rich emotion, and go for that 100!
A Cruel Angel's ThesisYoko Takahashi

This was Yoko Takahashi’s 11th single, released in October 1995.
It was used as the opening theme for the TV anime Neon Genesis Evangelion, which was wildly popular at the time.
It hardly needs an introduction—it’s a classic 90s anime song! While the track captures the anime’s world perfectly, the 1990s were also an era when a song’s success was often said to depend on how easy it was to sing at karaoke and how often it got sung.
This song is no exception, featuring a very memorable, easy-to-sing melody.
So hop on the tempo, hum along casually, and aim for that perfect score! When you sing it, make sure to really feel the beat of the backing track.
SunYorushika

Yorushika is a music duo that keeps turning out hit numbers.
I think there are a great many women who are fans of them.
Yorushika is especially popular for their ennui-tinged musical style, and among their songs, the one I recommend as an easy candidate for a perfect 100 is Taiyo (Sun).
This piece is built around lower frequencies and features no drastic jumps in pitch throughout.
Instead, it has many slightly low sections, but the scales themselves aren’t complex, so if you choose a suitable key, anyone can aim for a perfect score.
SmileNana Mori

This is a digital-only single by Nana Mori, who is active as an actress, released on July 19, 2020.
As a single, it marks her debut song.
As I mentioned at the beginning of this article, the best way to aim for a perfect 100 in karaoke is to choose a song that seems easy to hum along to! The track I’m introducing here fits that criterion perfectly, don’t you think? There’s a slightly high-pitched section in the D-melody after the instrumental break, so if you’re not confident with high notes, try lowering the key when you sing.
ORIONMika Nakashima

This is Mika Nakashima’s 27th single, released in November 2008.
It’s a very simple ballad, so if you sing each note carefully, I think it’s quite possible to aim for a perfect 100 in karaoke.
Rather than trying too hard to “sing well,” focus on a natural delivery and you should be able to score high.
If there’s any difficult part, it would probably be the switch to falsetto at the end of the chorus.
Practice so you can transition naturally between chest voice and falsetto.
