A song by one of the Big Four of American thrash metal, a hugely popular band.
It starts with a melancholic guitar arpeggio melody, grows more intense in the chorus, and explodes in the guitar solo—the exquisitely crafted solo is especially fantastic.
I hope middle schoolers studying can get hyped up with some metal.
DeadMy Chemical Romance

A song by a U.
S.
rock band that remains globally popular even after disbanding.
Among their tracks, this one is especially poppy and upbeat, and it’s incredibly uplifting to listen to.
I think it would be perfectly acceptable even for middle school students, so I’d love for you to play it while studying.
Snow (Hey Oh)Red Hot Chili Peppers

A hugely popular song by a Grammy Award–winning American band.
It was also chosen as the theme song for a popular Japanese film, and is characterized by its gentle groove.
If middle school students play this while studying, its light and gentle rhythm—so typical of the band—will feel pleasant and help them focus.
Dead MemoriesSlipknot

It’s a hugely popular song by a world-famous American masked metal band.
The track isn’t just about heavy guitar riffs; the melodic vocals make it quite mild, so it should be easy for even middle schoolers to listen to, and I think it’s perfectly fine to play while studying.
So Far AwayStaind

A popular song by a progressive metal band that made their major debut after being discovered by Limp Bizkit’s Fred Durst.
This track fully showcases their signature blend of melancholic melodies and heavy guitar riffs, and I think it can add an emotional edge to a middle schooler’s study sessions.
Let It BeThe Beatles

A timeless hit by the Beatles, the world-famous rock band that everyone likely knows.
Its gentle melody has a calming effect, so I believe it can give studying junior high school students a small sense of ease—I definitely recommend giving it a listen.
Make Up Your MindTheory Of A Deadman

A song by a popular four-piece rock band that made their major debut after being discovered by Canada’s national hard rock band, Nickelback.
Both the lyrics and the tone of the song are masculine and powerful, making it just right for junior high school students to listen to while studying.
