[Farewell Songs] Karaoke tunes to sing at a send-off party: Goodbye tracks (71–80)
Thank youIkimonogakari

Ikimono-gakari’s song is a classic and extremely popular choice for farewell parties and graduation songs.
As the title suggests, it’s a standout recommendation when you want to express your gratitude at a send-off.
What’s more, it was used as the theme song for the NHK morning drama series “GeGeGe no Nyobo,” which has boosted its recognition across generations.
It’s a reliable, go-to track you can confidently choose when sending off anyone—from younger people to those senior to you.
Goodbye, Regretkururi

For anyone who wants to become a new version of themselves after graduating or changing jobs, I recommend listening to Sayonara Regret.
It was released in 2008 by the rock band Quruli and was used in a House Foods “Java Curry” commercial.
Its gently paced, soothing melody line is especially memorable.
The lyrics, told with a picture book-like worldview, are filled with messages that resonate with adults.
It’s a song that helps you realize that both the good and not-so-good experiences you’ve had so far are what support you.
Youth PhotographLittle Glee Monster

When it’s time to say goodbye and you’re filled with loneliness, you find yourself wanting to listen to something uplifting, don’t you? Released in March 2015, this Little Glee Monster track is a pop song distinguished by its cheerful clapping.
The piano and strings brighten their humming even more.
It’s a popular song that was also used as the ending theme for MBS’s “Hayashi-sensei ga Odoroku Hatsumimigaku!” and it’s a number that lets you embrace graduations and the culmination of club activities with a positive mindset.
After you capture memories with your precious teammates and friends in photos, turn this song into your BGM and get the party going!

At least this / Just this (one thing)WANIMA

A three-piece rock band from Kumamoto Prefecture, WANIMA takes its name from the members’ initials.
This song, included on their third single “Gotta Go!!,” may be familiar to many as it was featured in a McDonald’s commercial.
Opening with their trademark beautiful harmonies, the arrangement—superb in both speed and melodicism—gives courage to those setting off on a new path.
The lyrics both give a push and a sense of reassurance, striking the heart—making it a perfect number to brighten up a farewell party karaoke session.
Bye-Bye ShowBiSH

Even if you and your friends say, “Let’s stay together for life,” there’s no guarantee that promise can truly be kept.
As each of you walks toward your own dreams, a time will come when you have to take different paths.
In moments like that, this song can make you feel, “We may be apart, but I’ll always be by your side.” It’s the final single released by the idol group BiSH in 2023 before their disbandment.
Its straightforward band sound and down-to-earth vocals are deeply moving.
Graduation — goodbyes are for tomorrowTackey & Tsubasa

As the title suggests, the lyrics are about saying goodbye, but lines like “goodbyes exist for the sake of the future” convey a positive, forward-looking feeling.
At the same time, there’s a hint of frustration, as if things aren’t fully accepted, which captures the realistic emotions of parting.
I want to become a cherry blossom tree.AKB48

Isn’t this a farewell song that can bring tears even to those who aren’t AKB48 fans? I’ve heard many schools sing it at graduation ceremonies.
Using a cherry tree as its motif, the lyrics gently tell those setting off that even if you lose your way, I’ll always be here watching over you.
This kindness speaks to people of every generation.
It’s a landmark farewell song that showcases the skill of lyricist Yasushi Akimoto.
