Hit and popular songs by LEON (Léon)
LEON, a VOCALOID-compatible singing voice synthesis software, was first released in 2004.
LEON (male voice) and LOLA (female voice), among the very first VOCALOID products, were developed in the UK and are designed for English, but it seems some producers have devised ways to make them sing in Japanese as well.
The voice source is said to be a British soul singer, but LEON can handle a wide range of genres beyond soul.
It was originally developed with the goal of handling backing vocals, but nowadays a scene has formed where Vocaloids sing as the main vocals.
Now then, please listen to the singing voice of LEON, the origin of Vocaloid.

BlazingLEON/Hororong

LEON's famous and popular songs (11–20)
meteorLEON/Ohnuma
Released in October 2011, this track makes full use of LEON’s distinctive timbre, the origin of VOCALOID.
Its appeal lies in a sound that blends ambient and electronic elements with LEON’s vocals to create a mysterious soundscape.
It is included on Daisuke Ohnuma’s album “Code:Adam -KarenT Edition-” and also on the LEON-only album “Code:Adam.” The flowing yellow star comments that accompany the lyrics about a shooting star are beautiful, and the song also has a club music aspect.
This work has been praised as an experimental attempt that expands the possibilities of VOCALOID, and is recommended for those interested in the fusion of technology and music.
V.O.C.A.L.O.I.DLEON/Xiena-Project
This is the sixth original song by Xiena-Project.
It’s a duet by Leon and Lola.
For some reason, an urge to create something in English struck, and this was the result.
It seems they worked hard using Yahoo’s translation feature.
Becoming a Thousand WindsLEON / Gobou-P
A cover of the song “A Thousand Winds” composed by Man Arai.
This video was made so we won’t forget the first-generation Vocaloids—LEON, LOLA, and MIRIAM—who are also great seniors among Vocaloids and will be completely discontinued at the end of December 2013.
It’s quite poignant, isn’t it?
Enjoy!!LEON / Mochariina
A duet song by LEON and LOLA.
Using a feature called Vocal Phonetic, both of them sing in natural Japanese.
As the title suggests, the lyrics are straightforward and positive, with the theme of having fun.
