Band-sound Vocaloid Song Special [Rock]

We call making music on a computer “DTM,” but that doesn’t only refer to electronic music with programmed synths.

You can use various sound sources or record live instruments, and before you know it, you can complete a full band sound right inside your computer.

So in this article, I’d like to introduce Vocaloid songs that focus on band-style sound!

They’re all wonderful tracks!

I’m sure you’ll find a new favorite.

Band-sound Vocaloid Song Showcase [Rock] (101–110)

Give me your loveRen

Kimi Ai Gimme – Ren feat. Seikai
Gimme a kiss, Ren.

It’s a solemn Vocaloid track that pulls your attention into its simmering, relentless beat.

Composed by Ren and released in November 2024, it’s a symphonic rock number that maintains a constant sense of tension.

The lyrics, which express feelings for a loved one, carry a hint of madness—yet their beautiful language and the song’s world-building draw you in irresistibly.

Seikai’s powerful, resonant vocals are another highlight.

Be sure to experience this dramatic and dynamic love song!

BECAMEBCNO

"BECAME" - An original song by IA
BECAMEBCNO

A summer song that neither laments nor celebrates becoming an adult, but simply accepts it and feels the sun’s blazing rays.

IA’s almost shout-like vocals sound so innocent and joyful, bringing back the excitement of the summers we spent as children.

AlignSushi-P

SushiP ft. Hatsune Miku “Align” (English Subtitles)
Align Sushi P

A farewell song sung by Miku with a childlike voice.

The synthesizer sounds used at key moments like the intro and before the chorus highlight a summery feel.

Miku’s vocals in the chorus sound almost like a whisper, which made me feel the production is very detailed.

Dust trailNoz.

Noz. – “Dust Trail” / Kagamine Rin
Dust Trail Noz.

If you like fast-paced, exhilarating rock, give this a listen! It’s a track by Vocaloid producer Noz.

, known for works like “Hedgehog” and “Seimeigaku,” released in March 2023.

It participated in the 2023 Spring VocaColle TOP 100 ranking.

The guitar riffs are cool from start to finish, and the band sound—imbued with a touch of grit—really amps you up.

It aligns perfectly with the bittersweet, melancholic world of the lyrics.

And the sing-along that kicks in after the second chorus will make you want to join in!

Glammy KissREISAI

How about some Vocaloid rock with irresistibly crisp guitar cutting? It’s a track by REISAI, the music duo of Yopi and Azen Sakana, released in April 2023.

As I mentioned earlier, the guitar is simply the best! The driving drums and the lively, roaming bass are just as amazing! The sudden metal-style break in the interlude really cranks up the excitement, too! REISAI has been releasing a series of works with a unified worldbuilding, including this song, “Gloomy Kiss.” If you’re hooked on this track, you absolutely should check out their other songs as well!

I keep a cat in my mind.beco

[Hatsune Miku] Keeping a Cat in My Mind – beco
Beco, who keeps a cat in his mind

If you like band sounds and upbeat dance rock, be sure to check this out! This Vocaloid track by beco—who has also released many instrumental numbers under the name “Noiseless World”—was published in March 2023 and was an entry for VocaColle Spring 2023.

The riffs and phrases are fantastic; if you can play guitar, you’ll probably want to try them yourself.

The humorous, cat-themed lyrics are another highlight of its worldbuilding.

If you’re looking for a song to cover with your band, why not give it a shot?

Girl Narune Frontpolypho

Girl Chiming Frontline / KAFU – Polypho
Girl Narune Front Polypho

It’s a fast-paced Vocaloid rock track with a somewhat retro vibe.

The song is by PolyphonicBranch (aka Polifo) and was released in March 2023.

From the intro alone the momentum is incredible; it’s a piece where waves of sound keep crashing over you from start to finish.

The heavily distorted, gritty bass sounds amazing.

I bet many rock fans who like this kind of sound will love it.

It also matches the decadent worldview of the lyrics.

And yet.

KAFU’s singing voice retains a sharp, clear contour even amid these alternative textures—it’s seriously cool.
