Challenge your limits! A collection of Vocaloid songs with high keys and soaring high melodies
Many people probably have the impression that “Vocaloid songs have high keys.” In fact, the pitch range you can manipulate with synthetic vocal software is quite wide.
If you own one, you know—you’ve probably tried making it sing at absurdly high pitches, right? In this article, I’ve put together a list of Vocaloid songs with high keys! I think it’s a playlist that can help you choose songs for karaoke or cover videos.
Strictly speaking, in music theory there’s a difference between “a melody that includes high notes” and “a song with a high key,” but I’ve kept things loose here to be more accessible.
By all means, challenge the limits of your own vocal cords!

A song by Namako Shin themed around the self-awareness of a voice library.
Released in November 2023, it quickly joined the ranks of popular tracks thanks to its profound message and dynamic musical style.
The lyrics are striking for their wordplay and their pursuit of personal truth.
The vocal ranges are divided among Zundamon, Miku, and Teto, but the Miku part is especially high.
Give it a try while taking care of your throat.
muGreat Desert Wave New

“Mu” was released by Namiba Nami in November 2024.
It’s a work characterized by a dramatic musical style and is included on the album “V.
S.” The lyrics, depicting an inorganic world, pair perfectly with the song’s grand, expansive development.
You can almost picture Rei Adachi and Teto Kasane singing side by side.
The chorus in particular sits very high, but even the first verse is already quite challenging.
How far can you go?
MelomeroidKairiki Bear

This is a Vocaloid track that belts out yandere-esque feelings over an addictive sound! Created by Vocaloid producer Kairiki Bear, known for hits like “Venom,” it was released in March 2024 as part of the Pokémon feat.
Hatsune Miku Project VOLTAGE 18 Types/Songs collaboration.
The words, which directly project a maiden’s heart, are simply the best! The upbeat melody makes you want to sing along with full energy! Whether you’re in a great mood or facing a slightly lonely night, it’s sure to be an irreplaceable companion.
ObsoletemeatSatsuki

This work was released by Vocaloid producer Satsuki in November 2024.
It portrays the struggles of artists and the conflict of self-expression, featuring high-speed soundscapes driven by synths and a distinctive vocal interplay between Hatsune Miku and Kasane Teto.
The blend of pop sensibilities with thematic depth creates a worldview that feels very characteristic of Satsuki.
I think the high notes in the chorus are quite challenging.
Take a deep breath and try pushing the limits of your own voice!
weigh anchorNanahoshi Orchestra

Nana Hoshi Symphony Orchestra’s “Bakuryō” (“Weigh Anchor”) features Megurine Luka’s clear, high vocals and carries a profoundly resonant message.
The dynamic sound arrangement fully draws out Luka’s potential, resulting in a track that shakes emotions deep in your chest.
The powerful guitar riffs stoke the listener’s passion and immerse you in its unique world.
It really makes you want to sing it with heat and fervor!
cheeseChinozo

Chinozo, known as a YouTuber and Vocaloid producer, also has a great song called “Cheese” that I recommend.
As the title suggests, it’s themed around cheese.
The lyrics sing about the depth and characteristics of cheese as a food from various angles.
Listening to it will probably make you crave cheese.
It’s also unique and fun that it uses that classic photo-taking cue, and the chorus that repeats the cue is really impactful.
EsSecret Piercing

It’s a shocking Vocaloid love song.
Composed by Naisho no Pierce, it was released in 2024.
Its highly dramatic arrangement and KAFU’s growling vocals weave a unique, captivating world.
The claw-at-your-chest singing style is intensely emotional, and before you know it, you’re drawn into the song’s story.
It might be one of the extremes of emotional expression in Vocaloid.
Please practice so you can reproduce it yourself.
