Strange Talenihoshika

This is the Kaf version of “Kaidan,” created by Team Ghost Club—formed by Nihoshika and other members—for VocaDuo 2024.

Set in a school at night, it tells the story of a protagonist who, after losing their life, wanders as a ghost.

The narrative unfolds through exchanges with a girl—also a ghost—who gently makes the protagonist accept their death.

Beneath the steady beat, there’s a subtly wistful atmosphere.

As you listen, let your mind dwell on the story—why did the protagonist lose their life?

Inspired by Aesop’s fable “The Ant and the Grasshopper,” it’s a work with an ending that’s terrifyingly intense.

Hatsune Miku’s icy vocals pair exquisitely with the downbeat soundscape, leaving a powerful impression on listeners.

The cheerful tone of the music contrasted with the fear-inducing lyrics—it’s that gap that gets me.

“Pierrot Act” by Jorujin, also known as Dark Fairy Tale P, was released in June 2023.

It’s a piece based on the real-life serial killer John Wayne Gacy.

It’s so shocking that I won’t spell out the details here, but as you follow the lyrics, your insides start to feel, well, muddied.

You can really sense Jorujin’s style in the way he brings in an interpretive angle to such a heavy theme.

This is a shocking Vocaloid track that turns the darkness in the depths of the heart into song.

Created by dada, it was released in October 2024.

The lyrics, which spill out the desire to “hurt the one I love most,” are filled with pathological affection.

The protagonist’s torment between love and dependency, paired with a distinctive electronic sound, crafts a one-of-a-kind worldview.

Turning a mystery masterpiece into a Vocaloid song! Released in May 2025, this is the third installment in Jorujin’s “I Will Teach You the Perfect Crime” series.

It’s a dark suspense track inspired by Seishi Yokomizo’s classic The Village of Eight Gravestones, featuring an impressive multilayered narrative that replaces the characters with Vocaloids.

Still Rain ♪ Hatsune Miku / VY1 / Poyoloid
It's still rainpepo-yo.

A song with an impressively apocalyptic atmosphere.

Composed by Pepoyo and released in December 2024, it symbolically portrays humanity’s powerlessness through unending rain and dim skies.

A world where poisonous rain falls—best left to the imagination.

The contrast between the catchy melody and the ominous mood really pierces the heart.
