VaporizedGirls On Film

Girls On Film is a band that recreates the ’80s vibe with a synth new wave sound.
Their fashion evokes the New Romantic style, though they debuted in 2005.
This track is from their debut album, Danceteria.
VertigoGriff

British singer-songwriter Griff has been drawing attention from around the world, including Japan.
One exquisitely beautiful yet fragile song she released is “Vertigo.” The title means dizziness.
In the song, she likens love to a spotlight or a great height, and the bewilderment it brings to vertigo.
You’ll be struck by the lyrics that capture delicate emotions and by her powerful vocals.
Also note how the arrangement builds in the latter half as layers of sound pile up and the energy rises.
Vortex Temporum / Vortex of TimeGérard Grisey

Spectral music is music created after analyzing the frequencies of sounds on a computer.
Incidentally, the “spectral” in the name refers to analyzing and breaking down light or sound and rearranging its components in order of magnitude.
That can sound rather abstruse, so for starters, think of it simply as “a type of contemporary music that uses computers.” Although this genre originated in France, artists around the world are now creating it.
Violin 4.0 (Olympis Remix)Helion

The track “Violin 4.
0” features a tightly crafted bass-and-kick ensemble that grooves incredibly hard.
The sound design is excellent, and while it doesn’t have major shifts or big developments, it’s insanely danceable.
It also works great as feel-good BGM—seems perfect for a drive—making it an outstanding remix.
Vampire HeartHiM

HIM is a gothic rock band whose trademark is the “heartagram,” a symbol that combines a heart and a pentagram.
The group was formed in Helsinki, the capital of Finland, often referred to as a mecca of metal.
Frontman Ville Valo, the vocalist influenced by heavy metal acts like Black Sabbath and Iron Maiden, excels at crafting songs that are both heavy and melodic.
It’s a band where you can experience the dark aesthetic unique to metal alongside a passionate rock sound.
VioletHippo Campus

Hippo Campus is one of the US indie bands that’s really been getting a lot of buzz lately.
They’re a four-piece formed by high school classmates, and maybe that’s why—within their stylish sound and excellent melodic sense, you can distinctly feel a sparkling, youthful vibe.
Their music videos are simple yet very stylish as well.
They’re a fantastic band.
VioletHole

Many people may know Courtney Love as Kurt Cobain’s wife, but not be familiar with her band, Hole.
This song appears on their second album, Live Through This, released in 1994, and it’s about her relationship with Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan.
The emotions are so intense that you can’t help but feel a bit sorry for Billy.
