DREAMERLAZY

Lazy is the legendary band known for including members such as Hironobu Kageyama—later called the “Prince of Anisong”—and Akira Takasaki and Munetaka Higuchi, who would go on to form Loudness and gain worldwide fame.
They even borrowed their name from a Deep Purple song, and, aiming for authentic hard rock, debuted in their teens.
However, Lazy was marketed as an idol-style band, and while their 1978 single ‘Akaokami-chan Goyōjin’ became a hit and made them a household name, the members themselves struggled with a musical direction that differed from their true tastes.
Even so, they leaned more heavily into hard rock as their career progressed, and their 1980 “Heavy Metal Declaration” is a well-known episode.
In the end, differences in musical direction led to their breakup, but when you consider that without this band there might have been no Loudness and no array of wonderful anisong tracks, you can’t help but see them as a truly great band.
dawnLIGHTERS

The female artist group LIGHTERS specializes in indie sounds, and all their works have a distinctive, gentle haze.
Among their songs, the latest track I especially recommend is “dawn.” You can hear subtle, thoughtful touches throughout—vocal effects, guitar riffs, drum patterns—and many listeners will feel like they’re listening to Western music.
If you like indie pop or alternative, be sure to check it out.
Dream On, Hold Me TightLINDBERG

The 4th single “Dream On Dakishimete,” used as the CM song for the sports shop Alpen.
Its lyrics portray an unwavering resolve to never give up on one’s dreams no matter what anyone says, and will surely give a powerful push to those striving toward their goals.
Although the overall vocal range is wide because the chorus suddenly jumps to high notes compared to the A and B sections, the melody itself doesn’t move dramatically and is simple, making it easier to try.
Since the chorus continues toward the end, if you’re not confident with high notes, be sure to set the key beforehand to one that suits you.
Don’t Bite The DustLOVEBITES

The highly addictive guitar riff is cool.
It’s a song by the girls’ metal band LOVEBITES.
It’s included on their 2017 mini-album “THE LOVEBITES EP.” The energetic vocals are deeply moving.
Don’t StayLead

Lead is a three-member Japanese dance and vocal group that has been active since the 2000s.
In their early days, they mainly released songs that epitomized J-pop, but recently they’ve been incorporating K-pop-style elements that are trending, and their popularity has been heating up even more.
Among their tracks, the one I especially recommend for men with higher voices is “Don’t Stay.” While this song does include characteristics of K-pop, it has an overall strong rock flavor.
If you want to showcase powerful upper-mid to high notes, be sure to check it out.
I want to talk about something trivial.Leina

It’s a song filled with the desire to cherish the small, everyday moments.
It expresses that feeling of wanting to share even the most trivial stories—the ones that might seem insignificant—with someone special.
Leina’s clear, translucent vocals further enhance the song’s world.
Released in September 2023, it has drawn attention as a work that resonates closely with many listeners.
Give it a listen when you want to treasure the time you spend with a partner or someone you love.
It will surely help you rediscover the precious feelings within you.

dollLia

This must be the song that’s perfect from the very intro.
“doll,” the ending theme of the anime GUNSLINGER GIRL -IL TEATRINO-.
It’s a track that lets you feel a heart-achingly emotional world.
A superb masterpiece where Lia’s beautiful voice matches its unique lyrics.
