[High Notes Warning!] Very High Songs That Are Hard to Sing (111–120)
missing; whereabouts unknownAdo

This is Ado’s 18th digital-only single, released in October 2022.
It was reportedly produced as the theme song for the film “KARADA SAGASHI,” which opened nationwide on October 14.
By the way, the lyrics, composition, and arrangement were handled by Ringo Sheena.
Needless to say, this track is incredibly cool and stylish even with just a quick listen! Please try singing it with a nuanced delivery that shifts between soft and hard, just like Ado does.
I’m sure it’ll earn you a storm of praise from those around you! Just be careful not to strain your throat in the rougher, more forceful parts.
A Cruel Angel's ThesisYoko Takahashi

Yoko Takahashi’s 11th single—by now there’s probably no one who doesn’t know it—is the opening theme of the popular TV anime Neon Genesis Evangelion, and it became a massive hit with over 500,000 copies sold.
It was released in October 1995, so it’s been over 20 years since it came out, but it’s still enjoyed a long run of popularity, having been covered by numerous voice actors, used as an image song for pachinko machines, and even remade by Takahashi herself.
With a hit this big, there’s hardly any need to explain the song itself! The arrangement lets you fully enjoy Takahashi’s exceptionally powerful vocals.
When you sing it at karaoke, try to avoid tightening your throat and aim for an open, free, soaring high tone—give it a go!
On a night when cherry blossoms fallAimyon

A song by Aimyon released exclusively for streaming in February 2021, written and composed by herself.
At first listen, it doesn’t seem to demand particularly high notes, but in the latter half of the chorus she skillfully showcases high-register singing.
This section might be where women with higher voices can really shine.
However, in the original recording these high notes are sung in falsetto, so if you plan to follow that approach, please pay close attention to making smooth transitions between registers when you sing.
Go your wayGreen Yellow Society

Ryokuoushoku Shakai is a four-piece rock band known for catchy, earworm melodies and exhilarating songs.
Their 6th single, “Michi o Yuke,” written as the theme song for the TV drama First Penguin!, stands out for its powerful message that ties in with the show’s story.
With an opening that jumps straight into falsetto and jazzy melodic turns, the song keeps you on your toes; in karaoke, be sure to listen to the ensemble as you sing.
For women who are good at high notes, this track lets you showcase techniques beyond just high range.
If you practice and master it, you can be the star at karaoke.
I’m Invincible (Uta from ONE PIECE FILM RED)Ado

Ado’s 11th digital single, released on June 22, 2022.
Ado is renowned for her vocal prowess, and even within this up-tempo track she showcases truly shape-shifting singing: from powerful, grounded low notes to forceful high tones, and all the way to gentle highs deftly delivered with falsetto and mixed voice.
The way she switches between these techniques is so masterful that, even to my ears as a voice trainer and vocal producer, it makes me want to exclaim, “Bravo!” It’s a pretty challenging song to tackle at karaoke, but I encourage you to study it carefully and try to make it your own.
You’re sure to draw admiring looks from everyone around you!
early summerAdo

Ado’s new song “Shoka” (Early Summer).
All of her works boast an extraordinarily high level of difficulty, and this one is no exception.
Rather than the high notes being simply extremely hard, the song demands that you master frequent shouts throughout while also handling falsetto, so it’s not enough to just hit high notes—you need comprehensive vocal ability.
It also calls for a significant degree of expressiveness.
Given all these factors, it’s no exaggeration to say that fewer than 1% of people could truly pull this song off.
Deep loveNana Mizuki

This is a song by Nana Mizuki, known for her beautifully resonant vocals.
It was used as the opening theme for the first season of the anime WHITE ALBUM.
Nana Mizuki’s songs are perfect for singing with freedom and making full use of high notes.
While listening to the beautiful melody flowing in the background, try singing expansively so your voice blends with it.
It’s recommended to sing while picturing a beautiful, clear high tone.
