[Christmas Songs] Christmas songs to sing with children (71–80)
Santa Claus is mysterious.

“Santa Claus Is So Mysterious” is a song born from the feeling that Santa is full of wonders.
Questions like “Since when did Santa grow such a magnificent beard?” and “When did he start wearing bright red clothes?” are answered with a still-slightly-mysterious reply: “He’s been that way since long, long ago.” Even after that, questions about Santa keep bubbling up until the song ends.
There’s a rapid-fire section in the middle that should be really fun to sing! As you sing, try thinking about the parts of Santa you find mysterious, and enjoy yourself.
Angel's PrayerAiM

This is a song that was featured as an insert track in the anime Digimon Adventure.
Some parents from the Digimon generation might have heard it.
With its gentle, whisper-like vocals, it’s an easy listen and recommended even for those who don’t know Digimon.
I Saw Three ShipsBlackmore’s Night

A song that lets you share the joy of Christmas with children.
Warm guitars and dreamy vocals deliver plenty of Christmas magic.
The lyrics, which sing about three ships sailing toward Bethlehem, gently convey the miracle of Christmas.
Sing it together with your kids, and it will surely become a wonderful memory.
It’s also perfect as background music for a Christmas party! If everyone sings and dances, the venue is sure to become even more festive.

Winter BellsMai Kuraki

This is a song by Mai Kuraki that was used as an opening theme for the anime Detective Conan.
It’s a love song with lyrics that might be a bit difficult for children, but it has a rhythm and melody that are perfect for Christmas.
Since kids love the anime Detective Conan, be sure to give this song a listen at Christmas.
Christmas papapa!

This song captures the exciting, heart-pounding fun from Christmas preparations all the way to the big day.
Because it was created for educational purposes, it helps young children deepen their understanding of what Christmas is like.
The “pa-pa-pa” from the title appears frequently throughout the song, adding a catchy, upbeat vibe that’s really fun! There’s choreography as well as singing, so it’s also great to learn both and perform them at a Christmas party.
It’s also nice to decorate the tree and other ornaments together while listening to the song and following the lyrics!
A merry, merry Christmas

“Ureshii Ureshii Christmas” is a Christmas song based on a hymn.
It’s lovely sung slowly and gently, but if you’ve got energetic children, an up-tempo, rhythmic rendition is recommended.
With lyrics that evoke the Christmas world seen in picture books—like the jingle of the bells on Santa’s sleigh and the chimes of church bells—it might just heighten kids’ excitement for the holiday! How about including a round of this song as one number at your Christmas party?
When a Child Is BornJohnny Mathis

Johnny Mathis is one of the singers who best represent American popular music.
He’s known for his catchy, warm vocal tone and has produced many classic songs over the years.
Among his works, the one I especially recommend is When a Child Is Born.
This piece is themed around Christmas and features a simple melody that evokes the popular music of the 1970s.
It’s easy to sing even for those who aren’t confident singers, so give it a try.
