Dream HouseDeafheaven

It wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say this is a song by the American band Deafheaven that overturned the conventions of black metal.
Its innovation is clear from the critical acclaim it received and its inclusion on many year-end best lists.
Spanning roughly nine minutes, its epic sense of scale feels like being taken on a sonic journey.
From the darkness of ferocious screams and blast beats, a radiant, beautiful guitar melody pours in like light—an evolution that’s sure to capture anyone’s heart.
The lyrics, which sing of longing for an “unattainable dream” and the inferiority it breeds, conclude with a dreamlike exchange of lines that leaves a deep impression.
Spit It OutSlipknot

A shocking work released from the debut album Slipknot by the nine-member American metal band Slipknot, whose heavy guitar riffs and breakneck rap verses hit like a spike.
The unique soundscape woven by the highly aggressive instrumentation and melodious choral work has captivated countless rock fans.
Released as a single in September 2000, it reached No.
28 on the UK Singles Chart.
It was also featured in the video game Evolution Snowboarding, and at live shows the performance peaks when the entire audience jumps in unison.
Powerfully embodying anger toward restrictions and repression in music, this track is perfect for moments when you want to unleash your inner emotions.

Rising ForceYngwie Malmsteen

He often gets teased for his overconfident, big-mouthed persona, but his talent as a guitarist and songwriter is the real deal.
This track, included on Yngwie Malmsteen’s 1988 album Odyssey—he’s also well known by the nickname “Yngwie”—features vocals by Joe Lynn Turner, famed for his work with Rainbow, among others.
Alongside the fluid guitar work, you can fully enjoy Turner’s powerful vocals.
NemesisArch Enemy

It’s a signature song by a hugely popular Swedish melodic death metal band.
The track exemplifies their hallmark style, with the guitars carrying the main melody while the vocals unleash death growls throughout—making it a classic of melodic death metal.
AwakeGodsmack

With guitar riffs as heavy as construction machinery and a rhythm that rumbles like the earth itself, this powerful sound commands an overwhelming presence.
Released in October 2000 by the American hard rock band Godsmack, this track is known as one of the group’s signature songs and was also featured in the U.
S.
Navy’s recruitment campaign commercials for “Accelerate Your Life.” Vocalist Sully Erna’s emotionally rich voice shakes the listener to the core.
Its blend of raw power with delicate expressiveness, along with a refined production, makes it a recommended listen not only for fans of intense music but also for lovers of melodic rock.
Veil of ElysiumKamelot

This is a track from “Haven,” the 11th album by the American melodic power metal band Kamelot.
The band is quite well-known in the melodic metal scene and has many fans.
It’s their second album since the vocalist change, and the veteran-worthy melodies that hit the fans’ sweet spot, along with the dramatic songwriting, are still firmly in place.
For me, this is the best fast-paced track on the album, and the way they balance such high-level melodies with sheer speed is nothing short of impressive.
I highly recommend it not only to long-time fans, but to all metal fans.
Du HastRAMMSTEIN

A world-renowned anthem by Germany’s pride in industrial metal, Rammstein.
After its 1997 release, many likely remember its shocking sound from its use in the film The Matrix.
It even earned a Grammy nomination for Best Metal Performance, a milestone that propelled them straight into the mainstream.
The cold electronic tones and earth-rumbling heavy guitar riffs are the very essence of industrial metal.
The lyrics, packed with clever German wordplay, are brilliant as well.
Alongside their fire-breathing live performances, this track lets you fully experience the band’s overwhelming aesthetic.
