ScarletDAZBEE

DAZBEE | “Scarlet” M/V
ScarletDAZBEE

DAZBEE, a female singer from Korea known for her extremely cute vocal tone, has been gaining popularity.

She has produced many hit tunes, but among them, the song we recommend for its narrow vocal range is Scarlet.

While her works often feature prominent high notes, this track stays within the mid to mid-high range.

The rhythm isn’t particularly difficult either, so it’s an easy song to sing not only because of its compact range.

If you find it high, there’s no problem lowering the key from the original—give it a try.

Change New School Leaders

Atarashii Gakko, an idol group winning nationwide popularity with their originality-packed style.

Even after their breakout, they’ve stuck to their distinctive sound—a blend of Showa-era pop and hip-hop—and keep releasing fresh, innovative tracks.

Their new song, Change, follows that hip-hop foundation, yet it’s irresistibly catchy and sung within a relatively narrow vocal range throughout.

The build-up section goes a bit higher, but it’s still within a range most people can handle, so it shouldn’t be an issue.

Demonic Woman A Purple Now

Ms.

Shion, a female singer-songwriter who debuted with Sony Records in 2024.

She’s a young singer drawing attention for her wide musical range, from orthodox J-pop to songs with a Western flair and even traditional Japanese tones.

Among her works, the track I especially recommend is “Masho no Onna A” (Femme Fatale A).

While the vocal range sits in the mid-to-high register and isn’t low, the overall range is quite narrow.

If the falsetto transition from the C-melody into the rap section is difficult, try lowering the key by one or two semitones.

ANNA, your voice when I sleep

Singer-songwriter Anna, who emerged in the late 2010s and has now cemented her place with vocals that are both catchy and cool.

Many of you have probably come across her songs on platforms like TikTok.

Among her works, the one I especially recommend is “Your Voice When I Sleep.” While the melody carries a touch of strength, the overall vocal range isn’t particularly wide, with most of it sitting in the middle register.

Singing it with a fuller, huskier tone than the original can bring out a woman’s strengths even more.

Spring Song - Sakura Fujiwara

Sakura Fujiwara is a female singer-songwriter who has gained popularity with a country-based musical style.

Active since the 2010s, she has produced several hit numbers to date.

Among her songs, the one I especially recommend is Haru no Uta (Spring Song).

It’s frequently used on platforms like TikTok and YouTube Shorts, so many of you may find it familiar.

The chorus has a calm feel, and the A and B sections sit mostly in the low to low-mid range, making it a very easy song to sing.

Hammer Head Shark – “Garden” (Official Music Video)
Garden Hammerhead Shark

Hammer Head Shark is a rock band with an impressionistic, gauzy musicality that feels like a blend of dream pop and alternative.

They’re a Japanese rock act known to those in the know, often mentioned as a stylish-band candidate alongside groups like Hitsujibungaku and Kinoko Teikoku.

Among their tracks, the one I especially recommend is Sono (“Garden”).

It’s defined by a very delicate, pale melody, with a vocal line that matches it—subdued and languid, with little dramatic rise and fall.

The range is narrow as well, so if you set it to the right key, you should be able to sing it comfortably.

Good Day’s SongMe to me

Me to Me − Good Day’s Song (Music Video)
Good Day's Song メとメ

Me to Me is a three-piece rock band formed in Nagoya.

They follow the path of classic Japanese rock, and their emotional sound has earned them popularity within the J-rock scene.

Among their songs, the one I especially recommend is Good Day’s Song.

It features a warm melody with a slightly traditional Japanese flavor, and the vocals are crafted with many warm yet monotone repetitions.

While it isn’t exactly a low-range song, it’s very easy to adjust the key, so be sure to give it a listen.
