[For Women] Songs with a narrow vocal range that are easy to adjust the key! (41–50)
SunYorushika

Yorushika is a musical duo that enjoys overwhelming support from younger generations.
Their ennui-tinged songs are especially popular, and they generally give the impression of being relatively easy to sing.
Among Yorushika’s works, the one I particularly recommend is Taiyo (The Sun).
This song boasts one of the narrowest vocal ranges in Yorushika’s catalog and is arranged with a simple vocal line that anyone can sing.
While it’s a song anyone can perform, it really shines with slightly lower-voiced female singers, so it’s a piece I’d especially love women with lower voices to try.

All of the Youthsuis from Yorushika

Suis, the female singer who has brought numerous masterpieces into the world as the vocalist of Yorushika, is also actively working as a solo artist, and recently released a cover of a classic song.
That song is Wakamosu no Subete (All About the Youth).
It’s a cover of a beloved track by the popular band Fujifabric, arranged with a more downbeat vibe than the original.
The vocal range is narrow and there are no intense parts, making it exceptionally easy to sing.
The emotional atmosphere is wonderful as well, so definitely try singing it at karaoke when you go with your friends from your school days.
Never endsUru

“Never ends,” the theme song for TBS’s Friday drama DOPE: Narcotics Control Division Special Investigation Unit, will sound familiar to anyone watching the show.
In this song, the verses (A-melody to B-melody) are set on the lower side, so try singing gently and carefully without belting right from the start.
The high notes in the chorus go up to around D#5, but avoid belting those as well—aim to hit them cleanly in head voice like Uru.
There’s also a low note around C3 in the bridge, which may feel low for women; sing it softly without straining your throat.
Since it’s fine to use head voice for the high notes, I recommend adjusting the key so the low notes are easier to reach.
SCOPEAimer

When it comes to ballads, don’t many people nowadays think of Aimer? She has many masterpieces, but the one I especially recommend is her new song, “SCOPE.” It has the feel of a classic, straightforward ballad, with a simple, unadorned vocal line throughout.
The range isn’t particularly wide, so most women with a typical vocal range should be able to sing it without difficulty.
It’s an easy song to perform—definitely consider adding it to your repertoire.
Bunny GirlAKASAKI

The song “Bunny Girl,” which gained nationwide popularity on TikTok and Instagram, is a signature work by the young singer-songwriter AKASAKI.
Despite its catchy rhythm and flow, the piece surprisingly stays within a narrow vocal range.
For a recent hit, it boasts an exceptionally limited range, so not only women with lower voices but also those who can’t hit high notes at all should be able to sing it without trouble.
If you want it to sound even better, we recommend incorporating a whispery tone known as a “whisper voice.”
First Love KillerNo Murasaki

Singer-songwriter Noshi, who enjoys strong support from young women thanks to her wide musical range—from comical tracks to classic J-pop.
She has produced many hit tunes, but among them, the one I especially recommend for its particularly narrow vocal range is “First Love Killer.” Arranged with a rap flavor, this song repeats the same melodic section throughout.
Since all the melodic parts sit in the low-to-mid register, anyone comfortable with rap should be able to sing it without difficulty.
Immoral SummerNogizaka46

Nogizaka46’s “Immoral Summer,” which became available for streaming in July 2025.
The lyrics are packed with summery words, so it might be a good one to learn as we head into the season! Rather than a “cute, idol-like song,” it has a slightly cool vibe that makes you want to sing along.
The overall range leans more toward the mid-to-low register than high notes, so it’s a song you can comfortably sing in your natural voice.
One caution when singing mid-to-low songs: if you just let it flow and sing vaguely, you’ll lose dynamics and it can end up sounding dull.
Keep your facial muscles lifted, aim to resonate around the glabella, and be mindful of accenting the first beat of each measure.
Since it’s a group song, there’s almost no break if you sing it solo—but feel free to prioritize the parts you want to sing.
There’s likely choreography as well, so try incorporating it and have fun!
