It’s the song that was used in Toyota’s Voxy commercial.
Voxy ads have long been crafted to evoke the image of a rugged, masculine father, and the songs featured in those commercials are invariably rock numbers with heavy distortion.
This particular song was used for the early Voxy, and the person appearing in the ad was Tortoise Matsumoto from Ulfuls.
20th Century BoyT-REX
The song used in Toyota’s Voxy minivan commercial in 2007 featured Tomoyasu Hotei, Tadanobu Asano, and Takashi Sorimachi appearing together.
The track is a 1973 piece by the British glam rock band T.
Rex, and it’s also well known as the theme song for the film “20th Century Boys.”
TechnologicDaft Punk
This series of commercials, which portrayed people listening to music on their iPods and dancing in silhouette, was aired frequently in the 2000s.
In this particular commercial from 2005, Daft Punk’s “Technologic” was used.
It’s one of their signature tracks, released the same year as the ad, and its electronic sound is incredibly cool.
You Raise Me UpCeltic Woman
This is the famous song “You Raise Me Up” by Celtic Woman, an Irish female music group, released in 2005.
The song was used in a commercial for Panasonic’s Full HD television “VIERA.”

The German music group famous for the song “Everything’s Gonna Be Alright,” which samples “Air on the G String,” is Sweetbox.
Their 2006 release “Addicted” was a big hit and was used in a Subaru Legacy commercial.
It’s My LifeBon Jovi
This is the song “It’s My Life” by the American rock band Bon Jovi.
Many people probably know it because Onimatsu Tsubaki (Tsubaki Oniyako) often does an impression of it.
