[J-Pop] Japanese Dance Music That Makes You Want to Start Dancing (131–140)
Go! Go! Summer!KARA

It was released in 2011 as KARA’s fourth single.
An arranged version of the song, GO GO Summer! (bright Ver.
), was used as the tie-in song for LG Electronics’ Docomo smartphone Optimus bright (L-07C).
In the music video for this song, they perform para para, a dance that originated in Japan, which they dubbed “Kara-para.”
12 cm shouldert-Ace

You can tell from the music video too, but when you listen to it, it feels like you’re by the seaside—a laid-back dance track.
It’s a song by t-Ace, a rapper from Ibaraki Prefecture, included on his 2019 album TSUBASA.
It’s a love song that straightforwardly expresses feelings for a younger partner.
Also recommended as background music for a drive date.
Here we go! Phantom Thief GirlMomoiro Clover Z

It was released in 2010 as Momoiro Clover Z’s major-label debut single.
Despite being an idol group, their songs feature very intense dancing and are very popular at karaoke.
Be sure to hype things up with the “shrimp bend jump”!
C.O.S.M.O.S. ~Cosmos (Autumn Cherry Blossoms)~Sandaime J Soul Brothers from EXILE TRIBE

Released in 2014 as the 14th single by Sandaime J Soul Brothers from EXILE TRIBE, this song was featured in the Samantha Tiara & Samantha Thavasa “Samantha Tiara Jewelry” TV commercial and the Huis Ten Bosch “Kingdom of Light” commercial.
It expresses, through both music and dance, the bittersweet pain of falling in love with someone you shouldn’t love.
The choreography is sensual with a lingering sense of melancholy, conveying the allure of a mature man.
exciteDaichi Miura

It’s a song with both calm and energetic parts, so adding sharp movements makes it look really cool.
I think it will look impressive whether you perform it solo or in sync with a group.
Also, since it was used as a theme for Kamen Rider Ex-Aid, it’s a song that’s popular with kids too.
ButterflyKumi Koda

It was released in 2005 as Koda Kumi’s 16th single.
Chosen as the theme song for the TBS drama series Ai no Gekijō: Cosmetic no Mahō 2, it won the 47th Japan Record Award.
This song marked her first appearance on NHK’s Kōhaku Uta Gassen.
The music video, featuring her dancing in sexy outfits, became a hot topic and helped establish the phrase “ero-kakkoii” (erotic yet cool) as her signature image.
GeeGirls' Generation

It’s a song included on Girls’ Generation’s first mini-album released in South Korea in 2009, and a Japanese single of the same name was released in 2010.
It became a massive hit, winning the Best New Artist Award at the 52nd Japan Record Awards.
With stunning style and feminine choreography, it’s an incredibly cute track.
