[For Men] Karaoke Challenge Songs: A collection of tracks that are cool if you can sing them! (11–20)
Kaikai KitanEVE

This song was pre-released on October 3, 2020, and serves as the opening theme for the first season of the TV anime Jujutsu Kaisen.
I think many people often sing Eve’s songs, but all of them have a very wide vocal range! By the way, Kaikai Kitan spans F2 to D5, which made me think, “You can sing that low?”—I was surprised myself.
It’s a song that’s challenging both for the low notes in the verse and the high notes in the chorus.
In the A melody, try to let the voice come out slowly from the vocal folds and avoid making it too muffled.
From the B melody it becomes more song-like and higher, but if you push too hard, you’ll strain your throat.
Keep an image of producing a strong falsetto and focus on explosiveness.
The chorus is also tough for breathing, so it might help to decide in advance where you’ll take breaths.
Also, for songs where breathing is this difficult, it’s better to parcel out your effort rather than trying to sing everything at 100%.
festivalFujii Kaze

Fujii Kaze’s masterpiece “Matsuri.” Its unique musicality—mixing traditional Japanese melodies with R&B elements—is captivating and has drawn attention not only in Japan but worldwide.
The particularly challenging aspect of this song is the complex vocal runs that appear from the second verse onward.
These “runs,” a high-level technique frequently used in R&B and soul music, are among the techniques Japanese singers tend to struggle with the most.
Since this piece also blends in traditional Japanese elements, only a very small number of people can truly master singing it.
THE DAYPorno Graffitti

Porno Graffitti are known for their high vocal range, and isn’t “THE DAY” one of their highest songs, especially at the top end? The tempo is also quite fast, so when it comes time to actually sing it, I think it’ll be tough to keep up unless you’ve really memorized the song first.
Also, vocalist Okano mostly uses chest voice, belting the high notes in his natural voice, but the highest note at the end of the chorus, C#5, is in falsetto.
That switch is really cool, right? Since the track is up-tempo, if you’re not confident with high notes, I recommend lowering the key by one or two steps instead of jumping straight into the original key when you practice.
Rather than worrying about pitch at first, start by getting used to the speed! You might get caught up in the effort of singing, but don’t forget to breathe!
Flamequeen bee

A band from Hyogo Prefecture, Queen Bee released their fifth single in January 2019.
It was used as the opening theme for the first cour of the TV anime Dororo.
The toughest part of singing this song is probably the ultra-high notes achieved with frequent use of falsetto, especially in the chorus.
Personally, though, I think the real challenge is how well you can recreate the lingering, unresolved mood that runs through the entire track—how much the singer can hold back and endure while staying with it.
Focus your study and practice on that contrast in delivery: knowing when to break through and when to hold back.
Christmas songback number

This is back number’s 14th single, released in November 2015.
It was used as the theme song for Fuji TV’s Monday 9 p.
m.
drama “5→9: From Five to Nine,” and it won the Best Drama Song at the 87th The Television Drama Academy Awards.
The vocal melody of this track is relatively simple and easy to remember, but to sing it well you’ll need a fairly wide vocal range.
In particular, the key point is how well you can produce a solid, resonant falsetto in the chorus sections that are sung in falsetto.
Be sure to showcase a powerful, clear falsetto and steal the spotlight among your peers.
Fantastic MagicNEW!TK from Ling tosite sigure

A band known for many difficult high-tone phrases, TK from Ling tosite sigure.
While all of their works could be considered challenging, the one I especially recommend as a particularly tough piece is Fantastic Magic.
The hardest point of this song is, without a doubt, the chorus.
The range is mid1E to hiG#, which is still better compared to unravel, but almost the entire chorus sits at hiE or above.
Since the chorus is composed almost entirely of high-tone vocals, by the time you finish singing, the strain on your temples and throat will be immense—but I encourage you to give it a try.

SOCIAL VIRUSHyde

HYDE’s new song “SOCIAL VIRUS.” HYDE has been consistently dropping great tracks, and this one stands out with a particularly strong hard rock flavor.
The overall sound is loud and intense, and the vocal lines match that with a raw, fierce delivery.
It demands a high level of power, expressiveness, and vibrato, so without solid fundamental vocal skills, it will be very difficult to pull off.
Definitely consider adding it to your repertoire.
