SubtitleOfficial HIGE DANDism

This song gives me the impression of a ballad that really lets the listener sink into it.
To sing it with a beautiful, breathy tone like vocalist Fujiwara’s, lung capacity, diaphragmatic breathing, and bodily awareness are all important.
You might think, “There’s so much to keep in mind…,” but don’t worry! First, make sure to really listen to the backing drums when you sing.
If you match your phrasing to the drum accents, it becomes easier to keep the rhythm and to hit the high notes.
By the way, even my female students have struggled with this song, saying “It’s so high!”—but I think the key lies in how you produce the sound.
If you sing with the image of resonating in the back of your head, the overall tone becomes softer, bringing you closer to Fujiwara’s gentle voice.
There are also soaring long tones, so try finding the placement that feels comfortable for you and sing from there.

RobinsonSpitz

This is Spitz’s 11th single overall, released in April 1995.
Reportedly selling over 1.
62 million copies, it was the band’s biggest hit.
In the 1990s—when factors like “being sung a lot at karaoke” and “having a chorus melody that’s clear and easy to remember” were considered crucial for a song to become a hit—Robinson could certainly be called an easy-to-remember, easy-to-sing track in that sense.
That said, if you can reproduce vocalist Kusano’s resonant, soaring high tones heard here at karaoke, you’ll absolutely draw everyone’s attention.
Sing it out with confidence and show off your skills!
somedaySaucy Dog

A track included on the three-piece rock band Saucy Dog’s first mini-album, “Country Road,” which was released in May 2017.
Shinya Ishihara, the vocalist of Saucy Dog, isn’t a singer who prides himself on highly elaborate techniques, but his slightly boyish tone and straightforward delivery are very appealing.
Including the high notes in the chorus, if you can sing it straight and capture the original song’s kind of “innocence” at karaoke, you’ll surely win the admiration of those around you!
crimsonX JAPAN

X JAPAN’s famous and high-pitched “Kurenai” starts off surprisingly calm, making you wonder, “Is this really that song?”—at least that’s what I thought on first listen (lol).
It might be easier for women to sing in the original key, but it’s quite high for men.
Toshl’s vocals are incredible—he maintains solid high tones while adding rasp.
The key to hitting high notes is your core.
If your body wobbles, your voice won’t project forward, so make sure to support from your lower abdomen (tanden).
There are parts that feel like you’re shouting, but if you actually just shout, you’ll wreck your throat.
Instead, try resonating in your head with the sensation of a surprised, sudden high voice.
This is definitely a song you’ll want to add to your karaoke repertoire!
gradationSUPER BEAVER

SUPER BEAVER’s 17th single, released in April 2023.
It was chosen as the theme song for the film Tokyo Revengers 2: Bloody Halloween -Fate-.
Throughout the track, you can fully enjoy vocalist Ryota Shibuya’s remarkably resonant and powerful voice.
It may be quite difficult for the average person to recreate this powerful vocal style at karaoke, but if you’re confident in your strong vocals, it’s definitely a song worth attempting.
Note that the key changes in the chorus, so be careful not to get thrown off.
over the topHiroji Miyamoto

Hiroji Miyamoto, the frontman of Elephant Kashimashi.
Lately, he’s been very active as a solo artist as well, and through collaborations he’s become known among younger generations, too.
Among his works, “over the top” is one of the most difficult songs he’s released.
The piece spans a very wide vocal range, and all the high phrases are sung powerfully, demanding considerable throat strength and lung capacity.
On top of that, several subtly delicate techniques appear throughout, making it an exceptionally challenging song.
DarlingMrs. GREEN APPLE

Mrs.
GREEN APPLE’s digital-only single “Darling,” their first release of 2025, is a grand ballad that makes extensive use of strings.
Ballads are, by nature, a test of a singer’s true ability, and for Motoki Omori—whose vocal prowess is exceptional—it’s the perfect stage to showcase his strengths.
The melody line leverages high-level techniques to the fullest, including a wide vocal range, natural vibrato, seamless command of mixed voice, and exquisite volume control, making it very challenging.
The difficulty is especially high in the section before the final chorus, where the pitch rises step by step.
If you’re confident in your skills, definitely give it a try.
