Nissan (1–10)
Original song

A kei car packed with advanced technology—will it become the new standard for a new era? The commercial features an original track as background music that gives a smart, sophisticated impression.
At the time, the new era name “Reiwa” had just been announced, and Nissan quickly produced a commercial with a forward-looking, new-era theme.
Because it’s an original commercial song, the performing artist hasn’t been disclosed, but the track is a perfect, cool match for the car’s image!
Mazda (1–10)
Original songYoshihiro Fujii

The Mazda CX-8 commercial song features a modern, stylish melody that feels perfect for elevating any drive.
The track was created by Yoshihiro Fujii of Backslash, a team known for producing original music for commercials.
It pairs perfectly with the image of a sleek car gliding gracefully along—something you wouldn’t expect from such a spacious interior.
The melody, which doesn’t fit neatly into any single genre and carries a sense of freshness, can ultimately be summed up as simply “cool.” It’s a track you’ll want to play as a sophisticated driving song.
The wind is from the west.Tamio Okuda

Mazda is an automaker headquartered in Hiroshima Prefecture, and Tamio Okuda is also a singer-songwriter from Hiroshima, right? This song was specially written by Tamio Okuda—connected to Hiroshima—for a Mazda commercial.
It has that signature, pleasantly laid-back Tamio Okuda vibe and uplifting lyrics that feel incredibly comfortable and even refreshing.
The music video features Mazda’s sports car, the Roadster (MX-5), and tells the story of a crash-test dummy preparing for a collision test.
Take Me AwayDave Holden feat. NADINE

The commercial for Mazda’s All New Mazda 2 shows the car swiftly speeding through a place so dark and subterranean, you’d hardly call it a normal driving environment.
The CM song, Take Me Away, gives a mysterious impression, as if it were expressing the enigmatic space within an underground tunnel.
The track is a collaboration between producer/composer David Holden and singer Nadine.
The title literally means “Take me with you.” True to that phrase, listening to this song makes you feel as if you’re setting off on a mysterious adventure, racing through an underground tunnel.
Zum Zum Zum Capoeira Mata Um

When it comes to Mazda commercials, it has to be this song, right? Various covers of this track have been used in Mazda ads over the years.
The original song is titled “Zum Zum Zum Capoeira Mata Um,” and it’s actually about capoeira.
The original has a much more relaxed tempo than the version used in the commercials.
Also, in the ads it’s sung as “Zoom Zoom Zoom,” so there are a few differences from the original.
The sound and rhythm are so catchy you can’t help but hum along!
Original songUVANTAM

The original song used in the ATENZA “Monozukuri × Atenza” commercial.
It’s a piece that features piano and offers an incredible sense of atmosphere and spaciousness.
It appears in the commercial, but even just from the timbre, you can picture water flowing smoothly over the beautifully contoured body of the car.
It’s the kind of track you want to listen to quietly and leisurely.
The creator is UVANTAM, also known under the name UbarTmar, an artist recognized for an advanced musical sensibility and active, energetic live performances.
Daihatsu (1–10)
lamplightVaundy

This commercial, titled “Being Yourself,” shows the Taft heading out to different places—the city, the sea, and the mountains.
It’s striking how it portrays the car as a partner that takes the driver wherever they want to go, as a natural part of their life.
The background music is Vaundy’s “Tomoshibi,” released in 2020.
Its dynamic ebb and flow make it a captivating track, so be sure to listen to it all the way through.
