You've definitely heard these! Chocolate commercial songs (11–20)
Love MemoryShigeru Matsuzaki

“Ai no Memory” (Memory of Love), known as a signature song by Shigeru Matsuzaki, was used as the commercial song for Glico Almond Chocolate.
Its moody, romantic vibe makes it perfect for Valentine’s Day.
The lyrics celebrate the joy of mutual love, so it’s also great to listen to with someone special.
Incidentally, due to its popularity, an album featuring only different versions of “Ai no Memory” has been released.
Why not take this opportunity to give it a listen?
ioliteOmoinotake

This is an Alfort commercial featuring Eiji Akaso, where people who love Alfort are introduced as members of the “Alfor Party.” It introduces Alfort fans within the company, and the humorous way they’re presented leaves a strong impression.
The background music is “Iolite” by Omoinotake, released in December 2024.
It’s a song that beautifully sings, in soaring high tones, about the happiness of being with someone important.
ANY & EVERYSnow Man

A series of commercials for Fujiya’s Look chocolate featuring Snow Man.
The lineup includes a box with four flavors, as well as milk chocolate and white chocolate that let you enjoy three different variations in a single box—everything looks delicious, doesn’t it? The CM song uses their track “ANY & EVERY.”
Alone and the Hallway WindowSabasister

This youthfully vibrant piece featuring Fumiya Takahashi and Ami Toman is the commercial “A Cheer for You” for the rich chocolate brownies.
Drawing a parallel to the brownies’ intense flavor, it delivers a message of cheering on young love with the idea that “deep feelings will surely get through.” The BGM features Sabasister’s “Hitoribocchi to Rouka no Mado,” a cute, heart-tugging song that portrays the inability to confess the feelings kept hidden in one’s heart.
The theme of Meiji chocolate

The original song “Meiji Chocolate Theme,” well-known from Meiji’s chocolate commercials.
The slightly retro, kayōkyoku-style melody really leaves an impression, doesn’t it? You can’t forget this song that’s indispensable to Meiji’s chocolate ads! The lyrics, which simply repeat the company name and the word “chocolate,” are as addictive as the chocolate itself.
Once you hear it, it’s not uncommon to have the tune stuck in your head all day, is it? That’s probably exactly what Meiji is aiming for.
And sure enough, once you listen, you fall right into their trap and end up buying it, don’t you?
Winter kissYui Aragaki
Many of you might watch this commercial that starts airing a little before winter begins and think, “It’s that time of year again…” Right? It’s the classic winter ad from Meiji: the Meltykiss commercial.
The 2024 version once again features Yui Aragaki, who hums the familiar original song while enjoying Meltykiss.
Not only are the scenes that capture the deliciousness of Meltykiss a highlight, but Yui Aragaki’s singing and expressions are must-see as well!

JoyfulIkimonogakari

The Pocky commercials of the 2000s left a powerful impression with Ikimono-gakari’s “Joyful”! Actress Shioli Kutsuna running through the city and dancing in a red outfit was especially striking.
The dance where you twirl your arms while holding Pocky also became popular, and whenever the song plays you can’t help but want to dance! Yoshiki Mizuno of Ikimono-gakari, who wrote the song, said he made it with fun as the top priority.
Just listening to it makes anyone feel happy and energized! When you hear vocalist Kiyoe Yoshioka’s shout right before the chorus, it’s time to dance!
