I started playing guitar in middle school and focused on band activities during my student years. I’ve been a hobbyist Vocaloid producer for over 15 years. After entering the workforce, I gained experience in various roles, including event sound engineering and videography/photography. From here on, I’m going to introduce a bunch of wonderful songs performed by the popular VOCALOID, GUMI.

GUMI was developed based on the voice of Megumi Nakajima, who works as a voice actress and singer, and is characterized by her human-like vocal quality.

You might have the impression that she’s mainly used for rock-style tracks, but of course that’s not all.

They’re all masterpieces where various Vocaloid producers let their musical sensibilities explode.

There are so many that it’s hard to introduce them all.

Even after getting rejected, they pick themselves up and charge straight into love again.

It’s a slightly unusual rock number sung from the perspective of someone watching such a protagonist.

The lively, powerful sonic texture feels great, and maybe thanks to its classic song structure, the sense of refreshment after listening is off the charts.

It’s a work by Signal-P, also known as Dios, released in 2010.

Incidentally, this was Signal-P’s first song using GUMI.

I can’t help but relate it to myself.
