Karaoke songs that are easy and fun for high school students to sing
Compared to today’s songs, older tracks didn’t pack in as many words.
Because of that, many of them were, on the surface, easier to sing than modern songs.
That doesn’t mean today’s songs are necessarily harder, though.
Since recent songs tend to cram in more words, it’s actually easier to disguise flaws, so depending on the track, some can be quite easy for anyone to sing well.
This time, I’ve picked out songs from that category that I especially recommend for high school students.
We’ll be featuring the latest tracks, so be sure to check it out to the end!

Adult feat. Avu-chan from QUEEN BEE & RYUHEI from BE:FIRSTKERENMI

Trackmaker KERENMI, known for his high-quality musicality and strong support within the industry.
His collaboration with Avu-chan from QUEEN BEE—who is currently skyrocketing in popularity—can be heard on “Adult feat.
Avu-chan from QUEEN BEE & RYUHEI from BE:FIRST.” The track is notable for Avu-chan’s expressive vocals.
It might seem difficult to sing at first, but since Avu-chan’s signature high falsetto doesn’t appear here, you’ll find that actually singing it isn’t as challenging as it may seem.
BOYKing Gnu

You might think that all of King Gnu’s songs are high-difficulty picks for karaoke, right? Especially with vocalist Iguchi’s piercing high notes and his beautiful, almost feminine high-tone voice, it can feel intimidating to sing.
But the song “BOY” might actually be more manageable for karaoke.
Released in 2021, it also served as the theme song for the anime Ranking of Kings.
This track does have some tough high notes as well, of course, but try lowering the key a bit—it should make it easier to sing.
See menqrse ft. VACON

Nqrse, a net rapper who’s popular for his high-level skills—the name is pronounced Naruse.
While he’s not extremely well-known among hardcore hip-hop heads, he’s a famous rapper in the utaite community and has very strong rap skills.
Among his tracks, the one I especially recommend is See me.
It’s a song that feels like a mix of K-pop and hip-hop.
Honestly, the difficulty level is fairly high, but if two people sing it together, it’s not that hard.
The song might sound like it’s on the higher side, but the vocal range is narrow, so if you’re singing with someone who can rap, it’s a relatively easy song to perform.
lamplightYuga

Yuga is a female singer-songwriter whose distinctive musicality exudes atmosphere and leaves a strong impression.
Her voice is remarkably languid—something not just anyone can produce.
Yet, her songs are surprisingly approachable: there are no high notes, and no sections with ad-libs or vocal ornamentation.
That makes the quality of her voice stand out all the more.
Still, since anyone can produce a fairly good tone within the right key, high school students who want to sing this song well should find a small, easily controllable vocal range and practice within it.
Sentimental KissReira Shio

Reira Ushio is a popular female singer-songwriter known for realistic lyrics that resonate with young people.
She’s a singer-songwriter with the clear, pristine vocal tone that’s currently trending.
Because her voice is so beautiful, some people might feel unsure whether they can sing her songs, but Sentimental Kiss is relatively easy to sing among her tracks.
If you want it to sound good, don’t force yourself to match the original key—choose a key that suits you.
Knock KnockPilafian

Pilaf Seijin is a rapper who draws attention—for better or worse—in the MC battle scene.
While he tends to attract a lot of haters in battles, his recorded music has been quite successful, racking up over a million plays, which is rare in hip-hop.
Among his tracks, the one I especially recommend is “Knock Knock.” It’s delivered in a style that sits between rapping and singing, and it’s performed within a narrow vocal range throughout all parts.
It’s a big hit with teens and up, so definitely consider adding it to your repertoire.

sasanqua (Camellia sasanqua)SEKAI NO OWARI

Released in February 2018, “Sazanka” has gained popularity as an anthem cheering on people who keep striving toward a goal, including entrance exams.
With lyrics that gently say, “I know you’re doing your very best,” and “You’re the only protagonist of your life,” many listeners have likely found encouragement.
Although it includes some high notes, its relaxed, simple melody makes it one of the more approachable songs to try among SEKAI NO OWARI’s works.
